The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Antananarivo Arms, Madagascar
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Antananarivo Arms Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made it's way to Madagascar, where 35,000 raucous fans recently watched the home side upset Namibia in a 110-point thriller.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of the Madagascan team war dance, Japan/NRL-bound Sonny-Bill Williams, Bradley Wiggins and the prematurely-retired Mark Boucher above the bar.

Afternoon all.
I've not written anything for the journal for ages. Hopefully when the new rugby season gets going I will be able to get some stuff down for it.
Hope everyone is well.

That's my new badge. The idea is that I focus on Journal stuff with Adam.
Thomond, Biltong, Glas etc, if you fancy writing yourself a blurb I've just remembered that we should probably be updating this: http://www.v2journal.com/the-v2-writing-team.html (pseudenoms are OK if that's your preference)
I did write one but its not up yet, 'self deprecating' is obviously not what was required!

Man, an nap sounds good. Wife and kids won't be home for about an hour, that is the ideal amount of time for a nap I reckon.

The Jet Stream has been messing with our weather.
It's been renamed the 'wet stream' here. Hopefully we'll get some decent weather for the annual 'Pilgrimage' to Canterbury for the Kent Beer Festival on Friday. Javelin train from St. Pancras - well worth the extra dosh. About 2/3 of the journey time from Victoria.

Remember all those tedious arguments about whose anthem is the crappiest we've had on 606 - and GSTQ usually came out bottom of the hit parade. Well, no more, as i type am listening to Neil Young's version of GSTQ on his new Americana album with Crazy Horses. Don't think they'll play it in the Proms but it's bloody good. Never thought I'd hear myself saying that about GSTQ but there ya are.

Heading home for zzzzzs soon myself. On the Brains SA Gold - better here than the last time I hsd it in the 'Diff.
Speaking of the 'Diff, I'm sure I mentioned that Ealing are playing Cardiff RFC in a friendly on 25th August. Train tickets already booked for that, so if any Welsh regs fancy a meet up I believe the Ealing crowd will be in the PoW on St. Marys St. before the game (3pm ko).
Scarlets are playing London Welsh the same afternoon.

Clucking bell I'm pifsed off now. No mention of the London Welsh game in the Scarlets fixture list AND every home game this season is on a Friday night! FFS!

That's just the default day. They haven't announced any date yet for the games. Every Dragons game is down for Friday too on the app, but they just use it as the Friday till the official day comes out.

It's a shame that it's just highlights of most of the games, with the final in full and some random narrator chatting in between clips. Must have been the cheapest DVD to produce ever. I've got all the games on my hard drive, so i'm not going to bother getting it.
RTE done some CRACKING sports documentaries a while back, the grand slam one was brilliant, I wish they could have produced the Leinster ones.

Is she blind-folded as well, lucky?
What's this about the MS only opening up half the stadium for the Olympics football?
Pity... they should have sold more tickets even if times are tough.

In other 'news', it is very wet indeed in west Perthshire. Mr Puma was planning to play golf this evening but bog snorkelling is more likely.

They were pretty awesome last night, and we probably made 4 or 5 goals worth of "unforced" errors (the other turnovers were down to good play by them). But last season we led them at half time, and only lost by 2 goals - that match we played out of our skins, and they were a bit flat.

Thanks for that Pete. So not as bad as it sounded. There'll probably be a rush for those last tickets this week.

Yeah I have....they absolutely kill for the first 3 sessions but you get good improvements....I'd reccommend going to some classes before buying any.
