The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Antananarivo Arms, Madagascar
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Antananarivo Arms Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made it's way to Madagascar, where 35,000 raucous fans recently watched the home side upset Namibia in a 110-point thriller.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of the Madagascan team war dance, Japan/NRL-bound Sonny-Bill Williams, Bradley Wiggins and the prematurely-retired Mark Boucher above the bar.

Ok its not that bad.
I just remember that me being the super organised son of a gun that I am, that I backed up about 75% of my workings which I can copy and paste and upload which has taken most of the sting out of it.
However still a pain and will probably take me a full working day to fix.

Rodders - its not something that would be an issue. Its my own project for work and I'm well within the timeline I set myself once I buckle down on it.

Stag,
Less 606'ing, more work then. Sure your contributions on here won't be missed anyway
Just been on a 19 mile ride. Pretty decent, bar learning the hard way again what goes down must come back up. Old age will come to you all one day.
My grandfather had a tumble in the house and thought he'd broken his ankle. Thankfully he hasn't, but he's in a bit of pain bless him.
Happy birthday Dreamer.

Ah Rev, you think just because I now work in a place called "Newport" that me and you are equals!

BTW Rev, really sorry to hear about your grandad
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Antananarivo Arms, Madagascar
I've always thought of as equals Stag. Soulmates if you will.
Ah he's ok, I'm sure. Tough as old boots. Good mining heritage and all that.

Rule No 1. of Computers: ALWAYS Backup, before you change ANYTHING.
ALWAYS make it easy to recover lost data. Or, if possible - make it AUTOSAVE, in whatever discipline you are active with.
NEVER work on a LIVE copy. Work on a COPY of it, to replace it - when it is finished and tested. FLIP-FLOP.
I learned that the hard way. Deleted the whole Krupps Database for Ireland, in the 80's. Turned to the OPs guy, and said "So anyway, when was the last full DB backup taken mate? I can recover this quickly"
He looked at me and blushed. "Errrrm, last week? "
I near died on the spot. Took me near 24 hours non-stop, to rebuild it.
Had procedures put in place, to back it up every 15 mins after that.
Hope our SKYPE chat didnt effect this Stag.

For Rev's Granda.
That can be really scarey for them. Had it with the Ma so many times. Knocks their confidence.
P.S. Stag may diss you, roysh, but I love you. You hunk.

Evening pub,
and a restorative for Rev's Grandad.
Quick for me then I really must go and pack the car. Off down to Norfolk at daft o'clock in the morning to meet up with sis and family who are down there on holiday this week. Should be an enjoyable few days, Isobelle has no idea we're coming
Won't be on here for a few days so have a good rest of the week and weekend people

Howdy folks! Hope everyone's swell. Many happy returns dreamer!
Played brilliantly at football on Monday. Had an absolute shocker today. Like actually horrible. So much so I might actually retire for the summer. Bought a chocolate brownie traybake from work on the way home to drown my tears. It doesn't even taste half as good as it looks. What a dissapointing day.

When Mrs G and I visited Florida we saw the special school that Ray Charles went to in St Augustine (a little known gem off the tourist trail and an antidote to that Blydi mouse). Anyhow when we got home (a couple of days before 9/11) she told my parents "and there was this school for the dead and the blind where Stevie Wonder went..."

Evening all. Tired.com, worked until 9 pm, now hopefully the programmer in Dubai can fix his mistakes before I get to work in the morning.
It's a weird night for sound "travelling" tonight. Unfortunate, as my flatmate has some quite "expressive" company staying over.

Girls playing football gibbo? I can't think of any worse. They have the right to vote what more do they want?
Girls in the showers though? What can I say? I'm all about equality and rights for all.

Cheers for that Willser. I'll wait and see if the wife and I get that back. We both were affected
Swanny, thanks for his beer. I'm sure he can't wait to have one again when he's probably a bit more mobile. I hope by the time you read this, you'll have had a lovely time in Norfolk.

Bore da pawb / good morning all, I'll have a paned if I may, Mrs Penfro!
My legs are still aching from the kettlebells class yesterday. It's like I have a knee-trembler every time I walk up or down the stairs (but with none of the pleasure). Fortunately there are none at work!

I didn't cycle home, I meant changing gear in the car. Every time I had to put the clutch down, I felt it in my thighs - same on the way to work this morning! It is really good though, works your whole body.
