The Zone Virtual Sports Bar, Hamilton.
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Zone Sports Bar, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
This week the pub has set up in Sky City Hamilton, where the Crusaders take on the Chiefs in the Super XV semi final.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Bradley Wiggins, Ernie Els, Irene van Dyk, Sonny Bill Williams and his newly capped All Black team mate Sam Cane.
Previous pub. https://www.606v2.com/t32740-the-dew-drop-inn-virtual-rugby-pub-bridgend

Leinster could always apply for promotion to Super Rugby rather than waiting for the others Gibbo
Well Sarries play home games away. I spose we could too.
Whaadiya mean promotion???!!!
Lookin forward to seeing you next week pal. Be nice.

Hey Mick, ya know what mate? I'd love to see them play in Clontarf. Enough of their players came thro and were based there.
I hope they keep this up with the Summer-friendlies and move em around.
Spread the love.

Hey guys, really need some IT help. I tried to make a video file open with Windows Media Player, now everything is trying to open with it and obviously they can't. Anyone know how to fix it? Help is greatly appreciated.

Simple, Munsty. Use VLC. Pick just one video in yer catalog (Right-click -> Open With) and there is an option (choose default program) to make it the standard for all videos. Et voila. It plays everything. And plays it well.

Ok ok, you made it a default for every bleedin ting.
Hit the windows button at bottom-left. Gives you a right-hand side panel. Go into Default Programs -> Set Your Default Programs. Change it there. Un-check Windoze Meeeja Player to stop it playing everything - specially htmls and HTTP's.
Undo what ya done.
WMP is a load of shoite. Never use it, even to play vids. You USE GOOGLE Chrome? Man. They own you.
EDIT: I just set WMP as default for everything it can handle and all is ok with SKYPE & Firefox yada yada. Hmmmm... I know - reboot!
I'll check it out what could have happened here.
Clever lad. Well done.

Afternoon pub.
Just got back from a cheeky trip to Chester, drank some nice ale thanks to reccomends from Munsty & Rava, had lovely weather to soak up the 2000 years of history, and didn't have to trail round all the shops as I took the precaution of booking the trip through Carlsberg...

It's the opposite Rav, they found out I moved away and quickly set the wheels in motion to get a friendly out there so as capitalise on my groundwork before the locals had forgotten about me.
CJ, a Quins Leinster game would be cracking, two teams who like to throw it around

Evening pub
Happy birthday to Kia Rose and Portnoy who are both celebrating today
Looking forward to the opening ceremony this evening though I'm not sure I'll sit through the entire 2 hours of build up. We'll see. Might have to nip out and get something suitable to drink. Probably steal Dreamer's idea and crack open the Pimms.

Evening pub frequenters
Many happy returns to those with birthdays.
No, I'm not watching the blimpics because I'm up early again tomorrow doing more overtime. Wonder what interesting characters I will meet early tomorrow morning? Last week I met a still drunk/wired youngster on his way home to St Mellons* from a party in town.

The Queen just parachuted into the Stadium to the James Bond theme tune. Or maybe it was Daniel Craig. It's all such a blur right now.

Re: The Zone Virtual Sports Bar, Hamilton.
There's a LOT of patriotism flowing around London right now, evidently.
Thinking back to RWC 2011 (being the MTV generation means that as far back as I can remember at all. Even thats a struggle ) it was more about the sport itself and not the hosts as much. This is more about the host country than the Olympics themselves. It's more a celebration of Britain, of Britains history, than something symbolising the ethos of the Games themselves. Is it normally like this with Olympic opening ceremonies? I honestly can't remember. These things rarely stick in my mind.
And this one, to be fair to Danny Boyle, will. Especially the bit with Noel Mannion
