Fair play to Norwich olly. The best team won. You are defending brilliantly as a team at the moment. You restricted us to very few chances. I'm sure you will be safe this season with a bit to spare

Hi Olly - a very good result yesterday. Well done - again!
From the brief tv highlights, I didn't think your defence was as tight as it's been in the last month. Weak marking and challenging for Everton's goal with Barnes going through them on another couple of occasions like the cliched knife through butter. Probably just as well for you that strongman Fellaini was missing.
If you continue like that, you won't be able to afford Ruddy missing between the sticks. Hopefully his injury is only minor and he'll be back next time.
That all said, you kept going right to the very end as ever. Pleased to see that equaliser go in - although not nearly as much as you, I'm sure!

Haha Guildford we weren't near our best at all yesterday and still picked up a point! Ruddy would be a miss but in Bunn we have a decent back up for the period he might be out.
The defence was ok on the whole, but individual mistakes (Whittaker for the goal) were more prominant. I wish we would be a bit more clinical in the final third, seems as if we miss a few chances every game that we should do better with.
Anyways Southampton away midweek will be a big game! If we win that, we will really start to pull away from the bottom 3!

I'm one who didn't hold much hope for Norwich this season, while I'm not saying I'm totally convinced the Canaries will stay up they've definitely and pleasently surprised me.
My biggest fear for Norwich would be the loss of Paul Lambert and while I do think that was a problem early season from the outside looking in it looks like Chris Hughton has got his team playing his way now, I like the club and the manager and would like to see them succeed, I also think some Norwich fans should feel some vindication, many wrote them off before the start of the season and while its still going to be a fight they're showing that they're up for it

Olly - I assume Mark Bunn will be deputising. I saw him play the odd game for Blackburn a season or so ago as cover for Paul Robinson and was impressed. I'm sure he won't let you down but losing Ruddy is still a blow.
Dread to think what would happen if Bunn gets a red card - might be an idea for you to take a pair of gloves!

Haha we have Declan Rudd next in line lol!
This is why we signed Bunn, he has been very impressive in the cup and i remember him doing well for Blackburn last year especially at Liverpool. Hopefully Ruddy will make a quick recovery and we can get by with Bunn!

Ah yes, had forgotten about Declan Rudd. Sounds like you won't be needed for a week or two at least!

Well, Olly, again not a classic but another point in the bank. Undefeated now in your last 7 Premier League games.
With several draws you haven't really pulled away. However, you've more than shown you're up for the fight ....

You can never sniff at away draws in the Premier League in our position Guildford especially considering in both the Everton and Southampton games we went behind.
If we can win our next two home games (Sunderland and Wigan, both very winnable) we will be widening that gap to the bottom three. But I said before Everton, Southampton and Sunderland that I would take 3 points from those 3 games so I wouldnt sniff at a draw on Sunday either

Norwich will stay up. 7 undefeated premiership games, but they cant afford to go into any game thinking its going to be an easy game. This Sunday for instance.

I don't think we ever do. No game in this league is easy for a team like us.

Well done. Olly. Another battling win getting you out of the bottom eight. In some ways today's result was more important than the wins over Arsenal and Man United in that it pushes Sunderland nearer to the relegation trapdoor.
Thought Bunn looked a bit shakey - on the goal (dreadful time for you to concede) and the disallowed goal. A great save from a free kick but having got his hand to the ball I thought he should have pushed it round the post for a corner rather than out for what should have been a simple tap in.
Anyway, enjoy the giddy heights of 12th spot. Hope you don't get a nose bleed!

Spot on there, Olly! Well done!
I know you won't get too carried away as like most supporters of the non-big clubs you have a continuing belief that things will suddenly go pear shaped! I remain convinced you'll be ok this season and no one can knock you scoring four goals away from home yesterday but your defence wasn't as tight as it should have been. Building on my last post to you, Bunn didn't look commanding or convincing. Enjoy the celebrations but don't forget to keep an eye on the back ....

I think it's Pete Lambert Freek?
I think yesterday was just one of those crazy games Guildford. Bunn isnt going to be on the same level as Ruddy but he will do a job! Must say yesterday Snodgrass was bloody brilliant. Just awesome wing play.
There is no way we beat Wigan at home next week to win 5 home league games in a row though

Grrr bloody Villa, bloody cup
Beat Wigan this weekend and we have 25 points. With Chelsea, City and West Ham to come over Christmas that would give us freedom even if we dont win those games.
Really only 6 more wins are needed to stay up...

Olly
Great run your team has put together after looking all at sea for the first month or so of the season.
You're only 4 points off the Champions League places .
Then again that just shows what a mixed-up season this is - Everton in 4th are closer to the relegation places than they are Man U.

Beating Wigan will be easier said than done though to be fair, I've been delighted with how Norwich have done so far, I thought they might struggle to stay up this year and after the first month I was sure you would struggle, its great to see club doing well and Chris Hughton has stamped his own style on the team

We did struggle against Wigan last season and they probably should have beaten us at Carrow Road in all honesty
Next two games are Wigan and West Brom. If we can get 3 points from that I will be happy because after that we have Chelsea and Man City and West Ham. And we are due a bad run of form tbf
25 points going into the new year would be brilliant!

Well on the way to those 40 points now, Olly! From the brief MOTD highlights looked a decent team performance.
Although your win against Man Utd took the headlines, more important to beat the likes of Wigan and push them towards the bottom three.

Hoolahan is brilliant, by far our best player. Pilks is starting to hit form after a pretty poor start to the year.
Bunn will do a decent job while Ruddy is injured. Will be less consistent than Ruddy but will do a good job

That Muppet on talk sport Adrian Durham was claiming before the weekend that you would still go down. Above all else I'm glad your lot won yesterday. For years I've predicted Wigan to go down but thought better of it this year. However now everyone is expecting to do their usual amazing recovery. If they believe that too much themselves this could actually be the year.

The run had to end some time, Olly. Bit unlucky yesterday by the look of it. Anyway, you should have enough confidence - and more importantly, points - going into the second half of the season.

I'll tell you now Guildford the Chelsea match on Boxing Day definately wasn't entertaining
But I knew this type of run was coming when I saw the fixture list, but it shows just what a fantastic job Hughton has done, that we have had 3 defeats in a row and are still 11th and 8 points clear of the bottom 3!
If you would have said you would have 25pts going into 2013 before a ball was kicked this season, I would have not only snapped your hand off, but offered to be your slave for a month!
