Arsenal v Stoke City
- Spoiler:
- Injuries: Ryan Shawcross/Jonathan Walters/Glenn WhelanAsmir Begovic
Alan Hutton - Robert Huth - Matthew Upson - Maynor Figueroa
Wilson Palacios - Abou Diaby
Michael Kightly ---------------------------------------- Ashley Young
Peter Crouch - Michael Owen
Subs: Thomas Sorensen, Jonathan Woodgate, Ryan Taylor, Darron Gibson, Jonjo Shelvey, Gael Kakuta, Joshua King
Tough game today, Arsenal will be pretty strong but I want us to try and take the game to them. Playing 4-2-2-2 to defend deep and hit them on the counter attack. Hutton/Figueroa, watch for the wingers running at you. Bully them off the ball. Huth/Upson, keep RVP under wraps, stop his service and read the game to beat him to the ball. Palacios/Diaby, be a wall. Arsenal like to attack through the middle, force them wide. In possession, look for the wingers and play it long to Crouch occasionally. Kightly/Young, with the ball, support the strikers and feed them the ball, without the ball, drop back into a midfield 4. Work hard on the wings, use your pace and trickery to create space and chances. Owen/Crouch, run all day, work hard, close down the defence to stop them passing out of defence, shoot on sight. Owen work off of Crouch flick-ons.
Long range Freekicks: Figueroa
Close range Free-kick: Young
Corners: Young
Penalties: Kightly
Subs 70 mins regardless of the score;
Kightly and Owen off, Shelvey and Gibson on. Go to a 4-3-2-1.

Re: Tactics Submission Page - Round/Week 7
Week 7 - Fulham v Man United
- Spoiler:
- Schwarzer
Di Sivestri – Coates – Kaboul – Riise
Lucas
Montolivo –– Murphy
Dembele ------------------ Dempsey
Berbatov
Team Talk:
We need to be realistic; we’re not going to have a lot of possession today. So I want you to work extra hard when off to the ball to stop them playing in front of our defence. Communicate with one another and keep tight. Be clinical
Defending Tactics:
* Lucas, brilliant job at keeping Drogba quiet, this week I want you to shadow Rooney. Keep tight and win your tackles.
* Murphy, use your experience and communicate with the defence and midfield to keep them organised.
* Dempsey and Dembele, when they have to ball I want you to drop deep, into the channels, so we’ll have 9 men back. Congest the midfield to stop United from playing there.
* Fullbacks, I don’t want you going forward today. The risk of having them exploit your absence will be too great. Stay back.
* CB, be strong and dominant, win your headers and tackles. Don’t go for the 50/50’s let the midfield sort them out.
Attacking Tactics:
* Montolivo & Murphy, we’re playing our football through you two today. Look to feed our front men with sharp, precise passes. Make them count.
* Look to exploit the absence of Vidic, his absence will be key for us to get something from this game.
* Berbatov, stay our point man, hold up play and be clinical. Take your chances!
At 65 minutes. Bring on Sidwell for Murphy – Keep midfield fresh.
At 75 minutes. Bring on Defoe for Berbatov – Get some pace running at an overcommitted defence.

Tactics:
Right Lads, New Manager New Start, Impress Me! Davis communicate with backline, let them know of any danger. Defenders play a deep line talking to each other. Need to compete and win every aerial ball and throw ourselves into blocks. Fullbacks look to support the wingers; don’t be afraid to overlap with decent crosses. Wingers defensively help out the fullbacks crowding them out attacking down the flanks. When attacking don’t be afraid to take them on, lots of great deliveries. Midfielders, break up all play, Morgan follows the AM make it hard for him to get any breathing room. Davis play box-to-box, you have the engine! Lallana play slightly further up supporting Lambert. Starting Line-Up:

CB - Jonas Olsson
LB - Stephen Warnock
CM - Stephen Ireland
CM - Stiliyan Petrov ©
RAM - Gabriel Agbonlahor
AM - Alberto Aquilani
LAM - Charles N'Zogbia
ST - Darren Bent
Tactics:
Let’s get last week’s defeat out of our systems now. I want to see you take the game to Chelsea getting the fans behind you. Defensively deeper line today, stops them running in from behind. Let’s be strong, physical & in their faces. I want to see us compete and win every air challenge. Full-backs give them no room to move, Winger’s I want to see you put a shift in helping the fullbacks out. Petrov will pester their AM, don’t let him play. Ireland support attacking midfielders. When attacking, short, slick passing using our pace running at their defenders. Wingers, lots of wide play with plenty of crosses, Aquilani spray passes out wide & over the top, I want to see you link up all attacking play. Bent, play off the shoulder running into space behind. Lots of closing down when chasing the game. Keep sharp on set-pieces!
Sub – on 66 mins, Weiss to replace Agbonlahor. Like for like role on the right wing. Don’t be afraid to run at their fullbacks taking them on. Need to put a shift in helping out Lopes when defending, doubling up on their winger.
Sub – On 72 Mins, Ba to replace Bent. Offer something different, use your size & strength to knock down balls linking up play. Try & get your head on the end of a cross!
Sub – on 78 Mins, Clark to replace Ireland. Slightly more defensive role, don’t be afraid to challenge putting a foot in. Stop their attacking midfielders from playing.

Right lads were at a very tough side today in Swansea. Were coming of the back of 3 defeats but were still playing some cracking football and being the better side in games but the results are just not matching our superb football. Today were going to look to pass Swansea of the pitch.
Goalkeeper - Always to look to pass it out from the back. Command your area and expect a lot of shots from there strikers.
Defence - Look to pass it along the back and slowley build it up the pitch. There strikers wont enjoy chasing it down and they will slowley begin to get shatterd as the match wears on. Really fustrate them. Full backs stay tight to there wingers but dont give away any daft fouls in the opening stages.
Midfield - 3 of you in the middle which i think will work wonders today. Pass it around the middle. Look to feed the Drog or set our exciting wingers away. Dont be affraid to pass it back. Just simply keep the ball and fustrate Swansea.
Drogba - Run your socks off like you always do. You will be on your own today. Keep biting at there defenders dont give them time to breath on the ball. When through on goal simply punish Swansea and hold no mercy.
COME ON LADS !!!!

Swansea vs Reading
- Spoiler:
- Howard
Clyne-Dann-Williams-Taylor
Bannan-Rodwell-Ramsey
Dyer-Adebayor-Hoilett
Subs:
Jaaskalainan
Cuellar
Johnson
Perch
Bellamy
Cole
Petric
Tactics:
Bannan, Rodwell and Ramsey make a 3 in midfield and boss that area. Defense play a high line, their forwards don’t have the pace to beat us in behind. They do have good wingers though, so Taylor and Clyne be alert to stop crosses. CBs challenge them in the air, midfield 3, and Rodwell in particular be alert to pick up the flick downs to Nolan etc.
When we have the ball use our wingers, their FBs are vulnerable, FBs overlap but midfield be aware to cover. Adebayor look to play on the shoulder of the last man and bully them both aerial and in behind. Ramsey and Bannan look to time your runs from deep and link the attack. Rodwell sit and distribute from deep.
60 mins: Dyer for Bellamy, be direct and take on the FB
If losing: 65 mins: Bannan for Petric, link up with Adebayor, go 4-4-2
If losing: 75 mins: Ramsey for Cole, sit in the hole and look to profit from space
If winning: 65 mins: Bannan for Perch, look to sit, challenge aerial and cover the back 4.

West Brom vs Norwich City
- Spoiler:
- Formation: 4-3-1-2
Injuries: Grant Holt, Jacob Butterfield, Marc Tierney
Starting XI:
GK - John Ruddy
RB - Kyle Naughton
CB - Ryan Bennett
CB - Sylvain Distin
LB - Emilio Izaguirre
CM - David Fox
LCM - Joe Allen
RCM - Jonny Howson
CAM - Wes Hoolahan
ST - Jordan Rhodes
ST - Steve Morison
Subs:
David Stockdale
Robert Snodgrass
Anthony Pilkington
Russell Martin
Adam Le Fondre
Bradley Johnson
Curtis DaviesRuddy
Naughton---Bennett---Distin---Izaguirre
-------Howson---Fox---Allen-----------
--------------Hoolahan----------------
----------Rhodes---Morison------------
Subs:
If winning/drawing: Le Fondre for Morison, Johnson for Fox, Martin for Naughton. Fresh legs, keep up what we are doing.
If losing: Snodgrass for Hoolahan. Allen for Pilkington. Go 4-4-2, with Pilks RM, Snoddy LM. Look to get crosses into the box.
Tactics/Team Talk: Today we face a very good West Brom side. Lets go out there and dominate the midfield. Naughton and Izaguirre, they have no pace on the wings, so look to bomb forward and offer width in attack. Bennett and Distin, they usually play one up front, so Distin pick up, and Bennett sweep. Fox if they have a CAM pick him up, if not make the midfield 3. Howson and Allen help out the FB's in defence. You three when you get the ball, play it around, lets dominate possession. Hoolahan, get yourself into the hole you should have, with the extra man in midfield. Create chances a plenty. Rhodes get on the final shoulder, look to make runs in behind. Morison physically dominate there CB's, look for flick ons and hold up play. Today boys we go out, and mix it up a bit. If Morison is on early hit him, and Rhodes/Hoolahan will launch a counter. If not, play through the midfield, and create from there. They have little pace on the wings, and a poor defence, lets take advantage by dominating the middle. Lets get a win today boys!

Tottenham v West Ham
- Spoiler:
- Cesar
Walker---Caulker---Vertonghen---Rose
Fellaini---Modric---Tiote
Hazard
Damiao---Llorente
GK to command, be vocal to back line, FBs to contain wingers and block crosses, keep them on the flanks, only come forward if Tiote covers gaps. Vertonghen to man mark their main striker whilst Caulker to be aware of wingers drifting in or AMs coming forward.
Tiote to be DM, look to provide assistance to FBs where needed and break up their play, Modric to move ball about, create space and look to dictate tempo, Fellaini to be B2B, when available get into their box and use size to threaten.
Hazard free role in hole, look to combine with Modric/Fellaini coming forward and link up play to the strikers.
Damiao to play as SS behind Llorente, use sleight of foot and close skills to beat man especially in box whilst target man Llorente to knock ball down or burst onto balls threaded through.
Subs: Friedel, Dzagoev, Barkley, Guidetti, Sterling, Kane, Livermore.
70 min - Dzagoev & Sterling on for Tiote & Damiao, switch to 4-2-3-1 with fresh wingers attacking tired FBs

TACTICS (149 words)
We are going to make things difficult for them by being very physical. If we give the likes of Modric, Hazard and Dzogaev time on the ball they will murder us. So Cork, Diarra and Henry will form a three in front of the back four where whoever is closest goes in to give them no time to create. Wheater should use his height advantage to beat Damiao in the air.
When we have the ball Rodriguez and Sturridge should take it in turns to drop deep, and the other should get forward and play on the last man where they can break free of their high line. Krancjar should make the passes and look to instigate our attacks. Cork should get forward most of the DMs but at least one must stay back. The Tottenham defense isn't all that and we feel we could create some great chances.

----Azpilicueta--Taylor--Coloccini---BAE--
-----------------Toulalan--Arteta-----------
-------Nani----------Ben Arfa----L De Jong--
------------------------Cisse----------------
The essence of our football revolves around retaining possession. We have attacking full backs who will primarily mark the opposition winger out of the game by showing them inside. Toulalan is our holding midfielder who will allow Arteta to create from deep whilst Ben Arfa has a freedom to create in a free role. Nani should run hard at the full back and seek to get the ball into Cisse as quickly as possible whilst LDJ will act as a Inside forward cutting in and causing trouble. They all can shoot from 20 yards, and while using his link up play, Cisse will mainly use his strength and predatory skills to poach goals which give us the victory.

Defence: Keep it tight, skrtl last man, if something goes wrong he's quick enough to make up for it. Hangeland to head everything clear and give striker a couple of yards due to his lack of pace. Full backs maintain positions and then overlap wingers in second half.
Midfield: Ramires be our box to box man. Cabaye dictate the pace of play and ensure we are on top possession wise. Johnson cut insdie and have plenty of shots. Suarez drop short for short passes, then spin in behind the cb's. Krasic same as Johnson, alternate throughout match.
Attack: Rossi stay on shoulder of last defender, and then in and around the 6 yard box for tap ins.

Cbs: be strong and make sure you give Berbatov a hard time as he will be a major key player to them. dont allow hin to create chances or goals and really give him a hard time. dont be afraid to go in deep if needed.

Scholes: control the Midfield with steven and use through balls and crosses towards rooney and the wings to create chances.

--- Di Maria ------- J Mata -------- Marin ---
--------------------------------------------------
-------------------- Higuain --------------------
Subs:
Thibaut Coutious, Jose Bosingwa, Antonio Lopez, David Luiz, Miguel Veloso, Michael Essien, Lucas Piazon
Tactics:
- Cahill and Terry to keep it simple, stay tight on their man and don't allow sneaky touches around the area. Ivanovic and Cole to sweep and track Bent's runs from deep.
- Ivanovic and Cole to be smart and choose when to go forward and when to hold back. When they overlap, the wingers will drop a bit deeper just in case Villa break.
- Carrick and Lampard to dictate the tempo of the game. Break up their attacks fill holes between defence and midfield. Be patient with the ball when we have it and look to feed the front four.
- Mata to roam and fill the gaps in between midfield and defence where he can be a danger. Also overlap Higuain and break into the box.
- Wingers to stay narrower than usual, giving Higuain support and allowing the full backs to overlap. Back themselves and run at defenders.
- Higuain to play off the shoulder and look to get in behind, picking up balls from the wingers and Lampard.
- Plenty of experience and talent on the bench to continue our game plan and, in the latter stages, run at their tired legs.
