Re: Tactics Submission Page - Round/Week 9
West brom vs west ham
- Spoiler:
433
Kameni
Grygera vlaar ridgewell boesnich
Wanyama mulumbu granero
Odemwinge lukaku dorrans
Tactics:
Keeper - if chance of a break long throws/ drop kicks to pay wide men/ target man.
Defense:
High ish line but don't get caught, been playing together regularly so now have a good understanding. If they've 1 up top vlaar to dominate physically and ridgewell to sweep. Fullbacks push on when sensible too. Offside trap for long balls in their half when the ball is under pressure.
Midfield:
A string dynamic midfield today. Granero to get on ball and dictate game as often as possible, try to get in between the lines and play in wingers if mulumbu/Wanyama pick up the ball. Mulumbu to sit, Wanyama to pressure ball.
Forwards: wide players try to isolate fullback and use pace, come inside to play off lukaku for any long balls. You have to track back when needed and match them if the go 4231/451
Overall:
Try to attack, work ball up the pitch with good possession to get fullbacks up pitch but don't dally on it and let them get set. Counter attacks through quick wide men of possible.
Big relegation 6 pointer and we need the points at home.
Subs: dos santos for dorrans 70 mins

Re: Tactics Submission Page - Round/Week 9
Chelsea v Reading
- Spoiler:
Line up
--------------------- Cech ---------------------
------------------------------------------------
- Ivanovic ---- Terry ------ Cahill ------- A Lopez
------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------
------------- Veloso ------ Carrick --------------
------------------- Lampard --------------------
------------------------------------------------
--- Di Maria ------------------------- J Mata ---
------------------------------------------------
-------------------- Higuain --------------------
Subs:
Coutious, Luiz, Shaw, Essien, Gourcuff, Marin, Piazon, Torres
Tactics:
- At home in front of our fans - a chance to really go for it and show them a good performance.
- Set the tone at the back - Cahill and Terry to keep it simple, staying tight on their man and don't allow sneaky touches around the area.
- Ivanovic and Lopez have a licence to go forward, particuarly on counter attacks. Choose the right time. In defence, stay tight on wingers and full backs - don't let them get down the byline easily and get in crosses.
- Great balance in the midfield three. Veloso to gobble up balls like a hungry hippo and stifle Utd's attacks. Carrick to keep possesion and allow us to play. Be patient with it.
- Lampard to play a free role and occupy the space between their defence and midfield, finding gaps to slot into. Work his socks off to track back where neccesary.
- Look to hit Utd on the counter and expose their attack minded defence when they're out of position.
- Wingers to stay narrower than usual, becoming a front 3 in attack. Both given licences to exhibit their skills - take on their men and take chances.
- Higuain to play off the shoulder and look to get in behind, picking up balls from the wingers and Lampard.
- SO much quality on the bench, we can adjust our game plan accordingly. If we're winning we'll keep pressing, keep disrupting. If we're down, we'll bring on our attackers and try and spread Utd. Gaps will appear with their tired legs.

Re: Tactics Submission Page - Round/Week 9
Southampton v Stoke City
- Spoiler:
- Thomas Sorensen
Andy Wilkinson - Ricardo Carvalho - Matthew Upson - Ryan Taylor
Glenn Whelan - Darron Gibson
Jermaine Pennant --------------------- Matthew Etherington
Jonathan Walters - Michael Owen
Subs: Maurice Edu, Andy Drury, Gael Kakuta, Joey Barton
Get into Southampton today, they are known to raise their game for the big sides so we want to catch them cold. Sorensen, command your area, be in communication with the CB's throughout. Wilkinson/Taylor, show the wingers outside, block all crosses, get forward occasionally. Carvalho/Upson, force the strikers deep, make them ineffective. Gibson/Whelan, Irish CM partnership, work together to dominate the Southampton midfield, help the defence, feed the wingers and strikers. Pennant/Etherington, run at the fullbacks, get crosses into the box. Walters/Owen, work together, Walters use height to win headers for Owen to get onto the end of, both shoot on sight and try to get free in the area.
Subs 65 mins:
If winning: Owen and Etherington off, Edu and Kakuta on. 4-5-1, Kakuta LM, Edu CAM, Walters the lone striker. Counter attack.
If drawing: Pennant, Etherington and Whelan off, Drury, Kakuta and Barton on. All like for like, Drury RM, Kakuta LM, Barton CM. Fresh legs and fresh ideas. Barton, try to stay on the pitch until the end...
If losing: Gibson, Etherington and Whelan off, Edu, Kakuta and Barton on. More attacking 4-4-2, Edu and Barton CM, Kakuta LM, but commit forward more often. Fullbacks support the wingers. If still losing in last 5 mins, CB's get forward and go to long passing game.

Re: Tactics Submission Page - Round/Week 9
Everton vs Norwich City
- Spoiler:
- Formation: 4-5-1
Injuries: Zak Whitbread, Marc Tierney, Chris Burke
Starting XI:
GK - John Ruddy
RB - Kyle Naughton
CB - Diego Lugano
CB - Sylvain Distin
LB - Emilio Izaguirre
CDM - Lucas Biglia
CM - Jonny Howson
CM - Bradley Johnson
RM/RW - Robert Snodgrass
LM/LW - Anthony Pilkington
ST - Grant Holt
Subs:
David Stockdale
Russell Martin
Ryan Bennett
Joe Allen
David Fox
Wes Hoolahan
Jordan RhodesRuddy
Naughton---Lugano---Distin---Izaguirre
-----------------Biglia-----------------
-----------Howson---Johnson----------
Snodgrass--------------------Pilkington
----------------Holt-------------------
Subs:
If winning/drawing: 65 mins: Allen for Howson. Rhodes for Holt. Same formation, just add fresh legs, keep it up.
If losing: 65 mins: Johnson for Rhodes. Martin for Naughton. Go 4-4-2, Biglia/Howson CM, Holt/Rhodes up front. Attack more.
Tactics: Today we face a tough test and we will set out to be solid in defence and hit on the counter attack down the wings. Naughton and Izaguirre you have the pace to deal with the wingers, look to go forward but don't get caught out. Lugano and Distin, they like to play 1 up front, so if they do Lugano pick up Distin sweep. If they play 2 up front both pick up. Biglia, Howson and Johnson, they have a strong midfield, so look to outwork them, and hassle them into mistakes. Howson is the more attacking of the three, with Biglia most defensive. Johnson and Howson both box to box though. Look to hit Snoddy and Pilks early on the counter. Snodgrass and Pilkington, get back in and help the FB's by doubling up, but when we counter we will go through you, so look to get early crosses into Holt. Holt cause havoc in there defence. If the ball comes early, hold it up and give out wide. Look to score from the crosses from the wingers. Lets go out today boys, be solid in defence, and hit them down the wings with pace on the counter. SMASH AND GRAB BOYS!

CB - 23 - Jonny Evans
RB - 13 - Davide Santon
DCM - 19 - Mohamed Diamé
CM - 04 - Scott Parker
CM - 22 - Danijel Pranjic

------------------ Vorm ---------------
Santon -- Jagielka (c) - Evans -- Enrique
------------------ Diamé --------------
--------- Parker -------- Pranjic -------
Lennon ------------------------ Sinclair
---------------- Jelavić ---------------
Team Talk: We must win this week after back to back draws. Therefore we're going to press Norwich back right from the get go, don't let them settle into anysort of rhythm. They're weak in the middle and fbs so thats where we'll hit them.
Vorm: Communicate, watch for through balls.
Santon/Enrique: Their fullbacks like to get forward so watch for overlaps. Force Snodgrass/Pilks (?) wide before getting the ball off them.
Jagielka/Evans: Work together, keep Holt quiet, he will switch off. Be strong in the air.
Diamé: Work with the CBs to keep Norwich quiet. Win ball back, look for easy passes.
Parker/Pranjic: I'm sure Biglia will play so drag him out of position. Play around their midfield. Parker more defensive, Pranjic license to roam.
Lennon/Sinclair: Overload their fullbacks, drive inside, force them to make mistakes.
Jelavić: Play off the shoulder of whoever is marking you (Lugarno probably). He'll struggle to cope with your movement. Strike on sight.
----
Corners: Pranjic - CBs come forward, Diamé stays back with FBs
Freekicks: Sinclair/Pranjic
Penalities: Jelavić
----
Subs:
Regardless of score at 70 minutes, Diamé off/Downing on. Go 4-2-3-1 with Downing on the left and Sinclair at CAM. Overwork the Norwich defense who will be tiring.

Santon -- Jagielka (c) - Evans -- Enrique

Fulham vs Liverpool
- Spoiler:
- Formation: 4-2-3-1
Starting XI:
GK: Foster
RB: Corchia
CB: Skrtl
CB: Hangeland
LB: Schmelzer
CM: Cabaye
CM: Garcia
LW: krasic
RW: Johnson
CF: Luis Suarez
ST: Walcott
Tactics:
DEF: Full backs support your wingers, Fulham's defenders aren't quick so your pace couple with our wingers will cause all sorts of problems. Hangeland get tight to their striker, use your presence to make him uneasy. Skrtl get the ball whenever possible to Cabaye.
MID: Cabaye dictate the play, get on the ball whenever possible. Look to get the ball out to the flanks quickly to make use of our pace. Garcia to sit and disrupt their play maker. Johnson and Walcott attack the full backs your pace will be too much for them. Look to use our full backs when they come forward. Walcott and Johnson get back and protect our full backs.
ATT: Walcott stay on the last defender, look for the through balls and take your chances. Use your electric pace to get in behind te back four, once your away no ones catching you. Suarez you have a free role, look to move your marker around the park to open up the space for others.

TACTICS (133 words)
We need to get the three points today and we want to dominate the midfield. Uchida and Cissokho should be very attack minded and try to get forward at any opportunity. M'Bia is a beast and should stick to the main striker and dominate all the aerial balls. Fyvie should sit as a deep lying playmaker, Krancjar should push up the most and Noble in a box to box role but should go flying in with tackles. Rodriguez and Sturridge should cut in and cause a 3v2 overload on their centre backs. Chamakh should win headers and look to hold the play up, to bring the other forwards into the game. If things aren't working for us Drenthe and Collison can come off the bench to provide more width and move to 4-4-2.

Re: Tactics Submission Page - Round/Week 9
Realistic League Week 9 Fulham Vs. Liverpool
- Spoiler:
- Etherridge
Riether – Hughes – Coates -- Riise
Lucas
Murphy --Dembele
Wright-Phillips ------------------ Dempsey
Berbatov
Team Talk:
Good win last week in the league and we can do the same today. Physically dominate their attackers, especially Suarez. He’ll hate it, throw a strop and stop playing. Dembele and Murphy pull the strings in our midfield and Wright-Phillips Dempsey and Berbatov get at their defence.
Defending Tactics:
* Play a deep-line to cope with their pace in attack.
* Cb’s physically dominate Suarez and Rossi. They wont like being pushed around.
* Lucas shadow Suarez. You can mark him out the game. If you do that, Rossi will be isolated upfront by himself.
* Murphy organise the team –use your experience and be physical with Suarez.
* Riise & Riether – alternate who goes forward, don’t leave us short at the back
Attacking Tactics:
* Murphy, pull the strings and be positive with your pass.
* Dembele run with the ball, look for the runs of the wingers and Berbatov
* Dempsey, Target Van der Weil. He’s not a good defender and likes to get forward to exploit this weakness.
* SWP, Hangeland is good in the air but will hate having you run at him at full speed.
* Berbatov, look to receive the ball in the box. If they’re marking you out the game, then move their defenders around to make space for others.

RB: Chris Gunter
CB: Gareth MaCuley
CB: Jos Hooiveld
LB: Wayne Bridge
CM: Morgan Schneiderlin
CM: Charlie Adam
LAW: Kieran Richardson
AM: Adam Lallana
RAW: Mathew Phillips
CF: Rickie Lambert ©
Tactics:
Great cup result, let’s use this momentum to get our first league win! Defensively, we’re playing a deeper line this week. We’ll need to be ready to battle matching them being physical! Full-Backs don’t give the Wingers any room, Gunter look to support. Block crosses & look to make them cut in. Centre-Backs, dominant display today. Soak up all crosses & long balls as there will be many! Look to clear your lines first, ask questions later. Charlie/Lallana, look to make the team tick. Array of passes all around the pitch, through balls to the wide men & long ball up to Lambert. Morgan, holding role, look to help out defensively acting as a cover defender, track any midfielders breaking through. Wingers be fearless, lots of running at slow defenders pumping in crosses. Lambert, use your frame to your advantage, get on the end of crosses & link up attacking play.
Subs: Craig Gordon, Kenwyne Jones, Dan Harding, Steve De Ridder, James Ward-Prowse, Jonathan Forte, Danny Butterfield
On 66 Mins: Jones >> Matt Phillips. Change to 4-4-2 with Lallana playing a narrow role on the right wing. Look to play off their full-backs exploiting their size winning headers/knock-ons.
