The Hillsborough Memorial Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Liverpool
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made its way to Liverpool in honour of the victims of the Hillsborough disaster, who may finally receive justice.
We are also mourning the sudden loss of Nevin Spence, his father Noel and brother Graeme, who died tragically at their farm in Hillsborough, Co. Down yesterday.
We offer our thoughts and deepest sympathies to his sisters Emma (who remains in a stable condition in hospital), Laura, their mother Essie, family and all friends and fans of the Ulster Rugby community.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Andy Murray, Craig Newby and Delme Thomas.

And good evening to you as well PJ
I was thinking of you and Gibbo earlier. Check out this guy. His debut album has been nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. Listened to an interview today. Says one of his influences was Bill Withers.

Just watched Rugby Club (strange how they didn't mention AP's deal with BT for tv rights) and was listening to some Saracens man saying how taking their HC match against ??French club to Brussels would be so good for spreading the game. Ermm, but still subscribing to altering the HC setup to cut out the Italian and (maybe) Scottish teams from the HC?? Hypocrites.

It's a dirty business Puma, but Sky are unlikely to publicise the fact that they've lost the rights to BT. It's thoroughly selfish of the AP clubs and I'd be over the moon if they end up with egg all over their faces.

PJ, the thought of losing the HC set up as it stands makes me want weep - and the AP/Top 14 clubs can dress it up as they like, but it's all down to money, and the impetus towards inclusivity can just go down the pan. The HC is just such a joy for the fans (hah - where are they in the balance sheet?).
Darling, would we ever have met in that lovely pub in Bath if not for the HC? I think not.

We would not have mi amor, see you in Dublin
The fans are clearly not a concern of the AP clubs, nor is the development of the Italian clubs if they have their way on the number of teams entering and how they're selected.
This cannot be allowed to happen, and the only way forward is for the other unions to isolate the AP clubs by getting the T14 back on board in the current format, I just hope to God they stick to their guns on this...
Prop, you're a cheeky beggar.
I'm off to my cot - 6.00am start for PJ.

Ja. That was a Grand Day Out, eh girl? Leaving Bath after meeting PJ. Pisshed. In taxis. In the lashing wind & rain. At night. Lost. In the Mendip Hills. On the way to Sandy Park. Laffed? We near pished ourselves. (Dreamer did. I think)
Happy Days.

Slightly jealous Rav but I'll get to watch it on BBC so not the worst. It's one of those games where I really have no idea how it is going to turn out.

Bore da pawb / good morning all, I'll have a please, to get me through my last day of work before I jet off to the Canaries!
The Dragons have signed two players, openside Nic Cudd from Llanelli and loosehead Owen Evans from Llandovery. Owen Evans is the son of former Wales international Ricky Evans*, and if he's anything as good as his old man I'll be happy.
* - who was also Wales's strongest man, if memory serves.

Munsty - I noted those comments from Marc Watson yesterday and thought “He can’t do this; no TV company ‘owns’ this sport, or ever should do.”
While the clubs may be fully behind the new deal, the actual fans are far from happy. There has been serious ctiticism on fan forums. I know some AP fans on here will support this Just for the sake of having an argument, but most of us definitely do not want to see a TV company spouting garbage like this.
It makes it sound like BT Vision (and the clubs) are holding a massive 12 bore to everyone else’s head.

To those going on holiday this weekend - I am most jealous! Have wonderful times
And Lucky - tell your Dragons to stop pinching players from the Scarlets' academy and develop your own
In all seriousness it's a great opportunity for the both of them, as they would be getting limited game time with Llanelli and the Drovers back West. Don't know much about Evans but Nic Cudd is a gem

Morning slackers, phones been playing up this morning and I couldn't post.
So what can we say for certain at the minute,
1.sky have 100% lost the Jeff coverage,
Eeeehhh that's it I reckon.
ERC say they have signed a new deal with sky on the 6th of June with the backing of all 6 representive bodies. If this is true they surly when it comes to EUROPEAN games then the Jeff/BT deal can't count for HC games. Would I be right in assuming this??

I meant to ask you bud, remember when MickyT and I came to stay and you had those lego minifigures up on your mantlepiece? Where did you get those made? I seem to recall that they were customised to look like you and your mates? I've been looking online for them but i can't seem to find anything.

Very interesting Glas, but 1 small thing, Greg Feek is a scrum coach, not a forwards coach. Jonno Gibbs and Gert Smal are the forward coaches for Leinster and Ireland.
