The Hillsborough Memorial Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Liverpool
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made its way to Liverpool in honour of the victims of the Hillsborough disaster, who may finally receive justice.
We are also mourning the sudden loss of Nevin Spence, his father Noel and brother Graeme, who died tragically at their farm in Hillsborough, Co. Down yesterday.
We offer our thoughts and deepest sympathies to his sisters Emma (who remains in a stable condition in hospital), Laura, their mother Essie, family and all friends and fans of the Ulster Rugby community.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Andy Murray, Craig Newby and Delme Thomas.

It's no good posting that in here, Stag. This place is too insular, no one except the regs will come in to see it.
I've never been impressed with David Strettle. (I'm basing this on his performances for England.) Keith Earls is a great little player and most clubs would find a place for him, but I wouldn't have him on the wing for the Lions.

I have a question: how often do you all think about when you were at school? I think about it quite a lot but I don't know whether it's just me. I find myself remembering things that people said or did and it seems really recent, although it's not at all.

Which is exactly what I think they are attempting to do! Will sort out a London drinkies thread today, Hound - Friday 28thHound_of_Harrow wrote:MBTGOG wrote:A quote from Marc Watson of BTVision, "We saw an opportunity to own a sport exclusively, at club level at least"
How worrying is that to see?!
Munsty - I noted those comments from Marc Watson yesterday and thought “He can’t do this; no TV company ‘owns’ this sport, or ever should do.”
While the clubs may be fully behind the new deal, the actual fans are far from happy. There has been serious ctiticism on fan forums. I know some AP fans on here will support this Just for the sake of having an argument, but most of us definitely do not want to see a TV company spouting garbage like this.
It makes it sound like BT Vision (and the clubs) are holding a massive 12 bore to everyone else’s head.

Re: The Hillsborough Memorial Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Liverpool
Morning all
B.O.P. had a big home win against Auckland 37-16
Counties Manukau just scored against Otago and lead 24-12.
Conversion charged down! Wasn't expecting that.
In Toyota Cup (U20 NRL) the Dragons destroyed the Bulldogs (who had lead all year) 46-20.
Nth Qld - Manly kicks off in half an hour. A little nervous. So many question marks on fitness and the Cowboys were clinical against the Broncos last weekend.
Adelaide - Fremantle semi starts soon too.
Lucky, I have vivid dreams of old school days, uni, whatever... however it can sometimes get scrambled up as Glas says. I was driving past my old 1st class school room... can see it from the road and I suddenly had that smell in my head of the trees (some sort of conifer) and library books and other kid's lunches melting in the sun.

Counties opening up now. Another try set up by Baden Kerr. 36-12.
I was chatting over the fence to a 72 year old neighbour and asked him about his recent trip to London.
He had this really excited look on his face as he said to me (soft English accent):
"You know... I think I've found the way to get to my brother's house in England without jet-lag. You just fly via Tokyo then over the North Pole arriving mid afternoon at Heathrow" (instead of 6am in the morning arrival for the Kangaroo route).
I'll try it next time. Sounds good.

Cleared the place lucky
Booked by flights for clermont this morning, grand price of £61 return, and with the £27 for accommodation it comes to a total of £88 all in, not had for a weekend in France really

If you're going to do "It must be love" you've GOTTA do "Cars" by Gary Numan!

The notable exception being Enya, panpipes make Enya sound less mystical than she actually is, which is like plugging the Edge's guitar effects pedal out.

Really? Thought it only worked on the London area for you, so that's pretty nifty then. Managed to get my own transfer for 17 quid so chuffed with that myself, god bless a car share!

Ah shoite, scrum.com still haven't put up the full set of stats for 3 out of 6 of the Pro12 games last week. If they haven't done it now, they won't do it at all. That's really disappointing, pretty much consigns my stats project to the slag heap....

Thanks Rods mate, can you aslo please jot down how many tries, assists, kicks, passes, runs, meters made, clean breaks, defenders beaten, offloads, turnovers, lineouts won on own throw, lineouts won on opposition throw, yellow and red cards every other player on the pitch gets. Wash, rinse, repeat for all 5 other games, plus the Munster, Scarlets and Leinster games from last week?
And, yeahhhhhhhhhhh, I'm gonna need you to work through the weekend on that one and have it on my desk first thing Monday.

Ity is probably the best roller coaster in Universal/Islands of Adventure, the Harry Potter one is pretty good, 2 separate ones if you had the time or chance to do both I would but you don't want to be wastingtoo long there like. A must do Dudley Do Right's Ripsaw Falls, you're heading there ina quiet enough time of the year so you probably won't be too hit by queues but they usually have a massive one for that during the summer. Super log flume ride though.
Other rollercoaster of note: The Mummy Ride (unreal experience probably the only indoor rollercoaster in the world, fast andjust awesome) Dr. Doom is alright you get stuff like it in funfairs but this is more extreme. I would recommend doing some of the 3 and 4d rides like The Amazing Spiderman, and Despicable Me (it was a Nickelodeon thing 2 years ago think the Minions replaced it).
Also Jurassic Park River Adventure is good craic but do not, carry any electronics with you on board. Ther's lockers there but the thing to protect your bags in the middle of the ride doesn't always protect them! If you complete it you are more courageous than Stephen Spielberg!
You know yourself though, not many overrated rides there. All good craic and quite interactive. It's better than Disney for the adults for the most part. Unless you want to get in touch with the kid in you at Disney which can be good craic!
Enjoy it man, I wish I was there. Might have to make it over next year, the benefits of having family over there means a lot of the trip I can save money on hotels!
Rodders, ROG missed tackles? Sure he is a speed bump like. Direct them towards Laulala who then proceeds to put guys back in their box.

Beidh orm féachaint ar TG4. Cláireacht den scot. Shame half the people watching don't know what they are saying but it's good Squishee.
You can't go too wrong there Micko, really even in the joint there are some good grub spots, a bit expensive and you can't get any non Harry Potter related drink inside the HP park which is a bit of a balls. Think I mentioned on here or PMd you with some places to eat I think. Golden Corral kind of a buffet job for 12 quid decent food, lots of variety and you can get your dessert to go, for a mug of tea in the hotel. Havan's is a Cuban place around Orlando, not sure if it's near you but try Cuban or Florida BBQ if you get a chance. Being so close to well Cuba and close enough to other Latino countries it is heavily influenced by it. Nice grub. You should try butter beer regardless. Will leave you surprised to what it tastes like.

I did hear the news earlier, but Wasps have announced the completion of the takeover. Woop. There will be a good atmosphere at Gomez Park tomorrow.
The takeover should have been completed by 31st May to guarantee our Premiership place for this season. I have no idea what went on behind the scenes to extend the deadline by over three months.

Oh hi.
I'll be watching Wigan v Catalan Dragons tonight with a slight conflict of interests. All to do with a little wager I placed.
Good Dragons side to face the Blouse. Guess Sweeney will enjoy walking past the Hazell on his way to the dugout
Risca 2's have 21 players tomorrow, which is great news too.
