The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Oxford
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made its way to Oxford and the only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Seve Ballesteros, Andy Fenby, Nick Williams,Tim Visser, Adam Ashley Cooper and Paul Lawrie up on the wall.

If anyone missed it and can get BBC2 there's Ryder Cup highlights on now until 8.00 pm.
Only found it whilst channel flicking, I'm not watching it

Not a golf fan then swanny!
Pretty crepe start to the season for our teams. Had we hung on to beat Quins it might have given us some confidence, but the same errors in defence are costing us.
I dunno where to start with Sale. There's enough quality there for you to do well. Actually I do. Redpath took Glaws downhill, and I don't think he's hard enough on his players.

Swanny it's worth watching just to see the look on Jim Furyk's face when the ball he thought was going in at the 16th didn't. He had already started to dance a jig.
That was my Moment of the Ryder Cup just then and I think signalled the end of the American's.

That obvious is it Hound? Don't get me wrong, knowing Europe beat the Americans the way they did does put a big on my face. I just can't watch it though.
Yep, we're both in the doldrums aren't we? Your situation is far more understandable though. So much uncertainty is bound to have consequences, and that will take a while to shift. I expect you will though, I have fewer fears for your boys than I do for mine. I don't know what to say. I remember Gibbo saying to me at the HC final that we'd assembled a great team and that everyone should look out. My reply was along the lines of we've had good teams on paper before and still faced a relegation battle. I really don't know what it is but I have lost count of the number of times I've felt like I was watching 15 individuals not a cohesive team. Feels like same old situation, here we go again It's only October, I have to be positive, but I admit it's a struggle, even for a usual optimist like me.
Rava, I saw a photo of him in the paper today. Classic moment, I admit I did

University Challenge never ceases to make me feel incredibly stupid.
Am about to feel even less intelligent when I switch over to Only Connect (best quiz show ever! One day I will conquer the wall....)
Evening all, I'm glad Europe one the Ryder Cup, but I'm even more glad my twitter feed is now golf free

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Oxford
Thanks Hound That turned into a bit of a rant didn't it? It's probably heresy but there is actually a small part of me that wishes we would finally get relegated. Can't quite believe I'm even thinking that but something is rotten at Sale and that needs rooting out and fixing. Just wish I could figure out what the that is though.
Maybe I should start watching golf after all...

What's happened to Rob Miller? I've hardly heard him mentioned this season. He was outstanding last term. Ritchie Gray hasn't been pulling up trees either. Neither 10 knows who's starting.
I can see Diamond taking the coaching reins before too long.

Story lads? Golf was amazing yesterday, incredibly, had one laptop hooked up to the TV with the golf and another on watching the American football. What an age we live in.
Stag, ROG was right to sit deep and try and beat a blitz defence. Thing is he shouldn't have been passing it but pinging it to the corners. He doesn't have much distance in those legs any more but can still direct teams around the park. He has been trying to show he can do it liek Sexton for over a season now and we know he can't anymore, maybe a few years ago but now not a chance

Yeah, you have a point with Diamond As - he stepped back in last season. Whatever's going on, Sale are not getting the best out of their players by a long way.

Howdy folks
I hope Sale kick it up, they have some top players and pedigree and I'd hate to see them fail. Ditto Wasps. Feels odd now that both those sides and Newcastle have won the Premiership in my rugby following life!
Can't wait to see Quins make amends for their loss next match

Finished reading the pre-release copy of Exeter Chiefs' hooker Neil Clark's autobiography last night, it's not a bad read.

Morning all,
Thomond - Here's my list of the best rides
Manta - Sea World
Cheetah Run - Busch Gardens
The hulk - Islands of adventure
Montu - Busch Gardens
The Simpsons - universal
Spiderman - Islands of adventure
Turtle Trek - Sea World (epic)
Jewels of Posiedon - Islands of adventure
Dispicible Me - Universal
All absolutely CLASS! The Harry Potter ride was really good too, but the best bit about that place was just the layout of it and the shops, there wasn't that many actual thrill rides though.
On a seperate note, I've become really quite obsessed with Doctor Who recently, a lot. I had only seen the last two series but in an effort to stave off jet lag when i got home (10am Wednesday morn, had to stay awake) i started watching all of the new series on netflix, I'm at the end of the 4th series now and I'm going to keep going until I've caught up with the new stuff, then I'll have to watch Torchwood (I know Gibbo's a fan) and possibly even go back to the classic series. It's absolutely fantastic stuff!

I know you’re not really into sci-fi / fantasy stuff Luckless but I’d say it’s well worth a watch. It’s very funny, doesn’t take itself too seriously and has plenty of eye candy for everyone.

Only at the zoo Lucky. They're (a) quite rare, and (b) shy, nocturnal, woodland creatures so you have to be out in the forest at night to spot them.

I can't remember if I mentioned in here, but I watched The Green Mile last night for the first time ever. Great film. Also watched I Robot for the first time (with the gruesome twosome), but obviously Green Mile was way better.

They could only afford to go to the B&W Mars as the full colour version was too far away at time of launch. Get with the programme people and keep abreast of facts.

EDIT: I have plenty more boring things like that I could share. Let me know if you're struggling with insomnia and I'll be happy to help.
