The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Oxford
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made its way to Oxford and the only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Seve Ballesteros, Andy Fenby, Nick Williams,Tim Visser, Adam Ashley Cooper and Paul Lawrie up on the wall.

Hi prop.
Oh, and the Wasps injury jinx continues. I found out earlier today that Nic Berry has had to retire after a series of concussion injuries.
He did well for us last season behind a very inexperienced pack.
Good luck Nic.
Plus James Bailey copped a broken leg last week on his debut.

Awful luck that, getting injured on debut.
Dragons are suffering a bit of a curse in the backrow. Obviously Lydiate is a big loss, but I do believe that Hywel Stoddart would have stepped up were it not for his rotten luck.
Off on a trip for four days from tomorrow. Nothing exciting, lot of waiting around. Hopefully get some gym work done as all I've done is pig out for my six days off work.

I love that wet dog smell. Thrilled for you Dreamer. Like either of those names.
Off to the airport to pick up brother in a short while. Got woken an hour earlier than expected by what sounded like possums rooting.
Horrible noise... like a pair of asthmatics having a 'disagreement'. They've stopped now. Just beautiful bird noises as I type.

G'luck Rev.
DL is a big loss for Dragons. I've not made my mind up about him. He's a bit like Joe Worsley, in that JW became known as a tackling machine. JW had more to his game than that, and I suspect Lydiate feels likewise if allowed to be; especially by Gatland.

Its a huge loss for Dragons, Wales and The Lions. That's for sure. Phhook, there will be lots more of it too. Truth is, its all in the Game.

Lydiate's injury is a big blow to him but I really am gutted for Hywel Stoddart. Work so long to get a pro contract then first match you get an injury that finished your season. Harsh.

I watch Danny a lot, because I know he has his detractors and I know people think he's overrated by people like Jiffy. I watched him more than anybody v France and he really was unreal. I get to see the best of him really, as its fair to say you see more in a sense at a game, than on tv (particularly if you focus on one player more).
He'll be back by March's games I reckon. Just in time for the Championship decider v England, followed by the Dragons Amlin run in (en route to winning the flipper).

Hello everybody, in just under a month I am running the Dublin Marathon (full length Marathon) and in doing so I am trying to raise soem money for the Winnicott Foundation. This provides care for intensely unwell new born babies and comfort for their parents through supporting St Mary's Hospital, Paddington's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
My page is here, please donate if you think the cause is a good one! http://www.justgiving.com/James-Cooper8
And please look at the Winnicott Foundation here to see why I think it is a great cause- http://www.winnicott.org.uk/
Thanks everyone, regardless of whether you donate or not,
Best Wishes,
CJ, aka Jac
Ps really sorry for not being on here that much ATM, really busy. Hopefully better after I get this run out of the way!

Morning slackers,
Woke up with a shocking tooth problem, wisdom tooth I think, washes it out with a load if salt water took a couple of nurofin and away we go. I'll get a bit of "medicinal" whiskey on the bugger later
Strange day in work today, I've got one train at 1036, Hampton court and back, can go home after it. Still have to sign on for fricking 0600 though

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Oxford
I’ve been getting up at 6.30am for the last year, before that it was 6am for a year and before that it was 5.30am. I must be due to move another half hour closer to work shortly.
Heading to Oktoberfest with a few folks from work later on, should be good an messy, the last few times I’ve been there 3 giant beers has had me on my ear. If you think that makes me a light weight consider that Oktoberfest beer is about 8.5% abv and it’s served by the liter. Assuming a standard pint is 568ml and 4.5% that would mean 1 Okkyfest brau contains about 3.33 times the amount of alcohol of a normal pint.

If that's the case then Mick then one pint (litre?) of the stuff would be enough to get me utterly tiddly!
Lucky - she is completely gorgeous. Has a real thing for feet/shoes too, hasn't started trying to eat them yet but if you sit/stand still even for a second she cwtches right up to them, head on foot, and falls asleep.
Won't get to see her now until I get back in from the rugby (where despite my anti-rain dance, the rain gods clearly haven't listened to me! Looks set to be a stinker of a day for the match )

Oh it’s a litre alright, I think they call it a mass (but I’ve definitely spelled that wrong). Ma-hassive!
So Micky T isn’t about for the Exeter match, shame that. Asbo, have you got your tickets sorted already? South Stand?

Reading paper today, new NBA2K13 is out. They feel the need to promote the fact that Jay Z is an Executive Producer for it.
Jay Z??? What has he got yo do with basketball or computer games that can positively contribute to the game??

Schmidt is yesterdays man. He is in charge of defence at Leinster and has stood idly by as they emerged as having probably the weakest defence in Europe this year.
Don't worry lads - we'll take it from here

I would seriously question the judgement of anyone who would consider signing Cher Lloyd to his record label.

Been queuing at jjb for nearly 45 minutes now. Realistically this was a bad idea. Was at the gym early this morning so I skipped breckfast and have left my water bottle in the car. This could be dangerous.

Madigan, Conway, BOD, McF, Nacewa, Sexton, Reddan
VdM, Strauss, Ross, Browne, Toner, McLaughlin, Jennings, Heaslip
The Leinster team has been "leaked" apparently...
I'd be very happy with that, all things considered.

Thats an excellent team. Really did not see Leinster being anywhere near that strong.
I have a feeling Paul O'Connell will be on the bench for us.

The bench would be fairly weak compared to what we could produce last year, but Healy would still be in the mix.
