For some reason it's working today, even though I've done nothing to it since last night, but cheers for the help guys.

Just a quick question for future reference...
Can I change my sign in/ username or would I have to create a new account?

Re: Help - ask your questions here
We used to allow usernames to be changed but the feature has been removed for the time being because of abuse of the feature by certain members.
This is in fact very annoying for people who (for example) mis-spell their desired username when they register and wish to correct it. However, some people were changing name to try to post from a new name.
For the moment, I believe we as admins can change your username so if someone has a legitimate reason to change (correction of spelling for example) then we can do it - but we will treat each request on its own merits

Re: Help - ask your questions here
That's interesting Davie.
From my perspective I liked the way it was on 6*6, I had a totally different login to my username, that way I was sure no one would ever be able to try to hack my account by guessing my password, because the name was wrong.
Any abusive usernames can easily be flagged by the ! button if any of the community see something norty.

Re: Help - ask your questions here
Cheers Davie
The reason I asked was because I had a few accounts on different sporting sites, forums & fantasy leagues, using the same username and I have deleted many of them.
I was looking at 'rebranding' with a new username in th next couple of months for the football season/ new fantasy leagues etc and looking to get all sporting usernames the same.
I shall be keeping this for the time being though.

Pot Hale wrote:Hi - wanted to know if I could enlist the help of your forum members with regard to the location of any sport pitches/clubs on island of Ireland. I want to compile a list of these into a directory application that I've developed for use on web/mobile phone.
If your users were willing, I'd like them to be able to pinpoint precisely the location of any sports pitches/clubs that they know about - in their local area or otherwise. It can be done easily using a location code website - http://www.gocode.ie/getyourgocodemain.aspx - which provides a facility to mark places and give them a unique location code to an accuracy of 10 feet apparently. Ideally I'd like them to post on the forum here (or email if they prefer) the name of the pitch (if they know it), address/ townland location and the location code for its entrance.
Would this be allowable? I quite understand if it's not.
Just bumping this previous question as I didn't get a response.

Re: Help - ask your questions here
Not very happy with a certain mod on here, is there a complaint box where I can fill in?
Re: Help - ask your questions here
If you have any complaints about any mods, I'd suggest you PM either a Global Moderator or an Administrator.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Cricketfan not everyone will always see it the same way as you, some may believe a specific mod is being too heavy handed I'm sure those who are complaining are just complaining to cause trouble.

This might sound like a stupid question, but when I send a PM to another user on here it's sitting in my Outbox. Will it go on it's own, when it's opened by them or do I need to do something to send it?

Re: Help - ask your questions here
Alright guys. First and foremost, very impressed with the site. It has a nice feel to it and is in many ways better than the original 606.
Why I am here though is to ask how you make a topic such as you see on the Sports Gaming section of the site? For instance, you see main topics, then topics within that if you understand me?

Re: Help - ask your questions here
Shuttlecocks are fine, cocky is fine. It's just c0ck that isn't
In the sentence that you've written I'd have just said cocksure and it'd have been fine.
Though what it did come out with did make me laugh out loud.

Re: Help - ask your questions here
Guys
Is there a way to post a thread across all the sports boards?
I thought a good question would be to ask what the best / most memorable sporting event everyone had been to was, and obviously that's relevant across all the boards.

Only the admins can make it a global announcement, but if you post it in a section and then PM the admin team to take a look and make a judgement call on whether it goes global.

Re: Help - ask your questions here
People call me names too.
We are all labels to some extent - some good, some bad, some nice, some mean. However, what label we fit, can only be decided by you. Look in the mirror and tell me what you see. Do you see Pauline?
I think we all have a little bit of everyone in us. I certainly feel like I know you well enough to feel that I have a little of you in me. And I am sure you agree that you would like to have a little bit of Hobo in you too?

Re: Help - ask your questions here
I think I just brought a little sick up at that thought. I'm sure Mrs Hobo often feels the same.
Re: Help - ask your questions here
Hobo's post almost brought a tear to my eye (as well as a little bit of sick).
