Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The pub has made its way to "sleepy" Roswell New Mexico, take off point for the first ever supersonic free-fall this week.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Felix Baumgartner and Chris Budgen up on the wall.

Imagine the crater that would be left if Chris Budgen fell from 30 miles.

Oh the name change, I was surrounded my three police men in gatwick airport Saturday morning, one with a sniffer dog, one with an automatic rifle as supposedly I was lurking around very suspiciously.

When I was 18, a friend and I decided on a whim to go to Cork for the weekend. At the time I had longish hair and as we walked past security to board the ferry, all three security guards came over to me and asked if I knew the penalty for smuggling drugs.

Maybe it was the 'I heart CRACK' t-shirt I was wearing.

Around the same time I was made to empty my bags in Frankfurt because I looked a bit tanned or had been enjoying myself too much. Cool ... but in the main arrival hall in front of everyone? How embarrassing! Laugh (it was about a year or two after Lockerbie so fair enough) OK

I usually slip from country to country without being harassed but a few times the guard has looked long and hard at the passport photo, especially in Germany for some reason. My Dad reckoned it was because I "looked like a gangster!" I was about Hughie's age.... Whistle

Afternoon All mug Something appropriate for the jukey:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p29MG7wn4F8

Back home now, chilling out. Got stuck on a train for ages due to a signal failure. Felt sorry for the driver having to get out twice to press or button or whatever they have to do at the signal box. Everyone on the train was pretty relaxed about it though to be fair.

Hope everyone's well. I'm feeling much better myself. Just got a bit of a cough.

It wasn't me searching, it was a colleague. And it was work related!

Evening all.

Just spotted a mate's FB status update from Friday night.

I know you shouldn't take shortcuts down side streets at night but who the ---- tries to mug a 6ft 4 120kg guy at 11pm? If anyone knows Jason Mark Hemana DOB 17/4/94 tell him he can pick up his wallet from my house or the Papanui police station after about 9.30 tomorrow. Losing your wallet to the guy you tried to rob is a major fail.

clap
