First topic message reminder :

Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The Pub has made its way to Taihape - The Gumboot Capital of the World!

http://www.taihape.co.nz/

We also welcome our newest member, Amber Dog ...who no doubt will have an interest in those boots!

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Aaron Smith, Topsy Ojo, Jason Shoemark, Tom Rees, Gonzalo Garcia, Leo the Leinster Lion and Lalakai Foketi up on the wall.

Epic weekend. Epic.

Clermont fans are the best I've ever come across, best stadium I've ever been to, was bouncing.

They all love stepheeeen joneeees as much as me.

Regan king was sitting with the scarlets fans heart

My liver may struggle to recover.

Proud of my boys too. We led for 38 mins but Stodds' two yellows finished us, the poor sod. Amazing effort from them though. They left nothing on the pitch.

We may not have a fit backline for Leinster now though!

Plenty of caffeine will be required tomorrow I think......

Croeso nol Dreamer. Glad to hear the weekend was good. Shame about the result for you but it doesn't sound like you're too fussed about it Smile. Speaking of the Scarlets, there's an interview with Sanjay in Rugby World. He sounds like a right header. Very funny. Also explains his nickname.

Clermont fans ARE mad. There were just 1000, 2000 of them maybe at Ravenhill last season. And they were unbelievable.

The idea of a stadium full of them is incredible. Ravenhill is great, especially in Europe, our fans really are like a 16th man. But in Clermont they must be more like an 17th, 18th man. Crazy.

So hard to win there in Europe even if you do everything right.

Congratulations for yesterday Hound. I was livid when I saw the team, that twit Edwards picked though.

Risca lost for the first time yesterday to Abertillery at home. James Jones was reffing. My mate said he wasn't great. Obviously 3 East is his level.

Anyway, just sat in St Johns on the way home soon. Can't wait

The main thing is you got back safe.

It was a sweet and sour night for you're young lads. Check the first try. Excellent stuff.

I opted to watch the Buccaneers play instead of the rugby. First time in a long time I can say it was bloody worth it!

Evening all again!

No one will have bother sleeping in the P household tonight.

Gibbo is making us watch the Leinster (Yawn) game again.

I think he's hoping it looked better on the telly than in real life. Haven't had the heart to tell him....

Can anyone with information on the whereabouts of my liver please contact Gardai at Harcourt street station.

Here’s my memory of the entire day match-banter-taxi-banter-zaytoons-banter-Stillorgan RFC taking over the smoking area-signed up to play for Stillorgan RFC-Banter-Stag singing-scene missing-waking up on the couch.

As is the usual for situations like this I’m putting up a standing apology order for anyone I offended on my merry travels.

Bore da pawb / good morning all. Enjoyed the away trip on Saturday, but it really wasn't wise to have been drinking on the long journey to High Wycombe. I hadn't planned on doing so and I'd have been content with the couple of pints I had before we left Newport, but when someone offered me cans of Tetley, I accepted. Still, you live and don't learn!

I didn't get to meet Dog but we managed a brief phone call, which is better than nothing I suppose.

Also, it was great to see Rhino again, it had been a while.

Bore da/Good morning all.

I seem to have even less of a voice today then I did yesterday (not quite sure how that works!)

Getting up this morning was v hard Sad

ust been telling my Mam all the stories though and one of my fave's was in the stadium, we were up nearish the band and in the second half they turned to us and started up with playing the Welsh anthem, so our whole block of Scarlets fans sung it and we got a standing ovation from all the Clermont fans near us. Twas brilliant.

I was also introduced to the drink ricard (I think that's how it's spelt). It's lush but blydi hell, it did get me just rather a bit drunk.

I wish I could go back there!

laughing I take it that's a good thing then Rava?

My old flatmate Francois always drank it, but he drank it neat so I never liked it. I had it with grenadine and something else though, it was a lovely pink colour anyway, v v nice Smile

I am just awaiting injury updates from the Scarlets. Looks like we could well be without Foxy and Scotty in the centre for this weekend which will not be v good for us!
