bit of an understatement, though as I write, canada are playing some brilliant stuff obviously in the knowledge that the game is out of their reach. Just scored a length of the field try.

I've just done a bit of Saturday morning maths - if Scotland win all three tests, we'll be ranked fourth in the world.
It's on.

Well we can but hope. And speaking of hatricks saw that William Hill are giving 4000/1 odds on Denton to get a hatrick!
Re: Scotland vs All Blacks @ 2.30pm Sunday 11 Nov Murrayfield
I think that we're thinking about this all wrong, fellers.
It's win-win. If we get horrendously stuffed, then it won't be any worse than any of Ireland and Wales in their first games. If we do reasonably well, then we take that into the Saffer game, which I'm even more convinced than ever now we can win if we stay injury free. Nobody is expecting anything, so every positive is a real bonus. I would rather play the ABs first and gain momentum afterwards than later in the series.
I think if anything, it's proof if ever it was needed that all of the hype surrounding players from last year's Six Nations has long gone. Ireland really struggled to create anything amongst the backs and the Welsh pack couldn't get any purchase on the Pumas at all.
England were looking good and I honestly believe will give the Aussies a stuffing in the tight. So to speak.
Certainly, plenty of what were apparantly Lions 'certainties' don't look so certain any more.

Those are healthy odds mystiroakey. Well worth a punt.
Scotland no doubt will be encouraged by the underdogs yesterday. They must target the breakdown and set piece and look to bully NZ's pack who have a few senior players out. Show no fear and get stuck in.

Re: Scotland vs All Blacks @ 2.30pm Sunday 11 Nov Murrayfield
I have to say I feel optimistic, if this Scottish side plays the best they can then we can keep it tight, and maybe scrape a win if we have a little bit of luck!
I think we'll play well today and maybe the score will be 13-21 (a little more optimistic than my previous prediction!). Of course this depends on how much possession we retain and how much our back row can irritate NZ at the breakdown, which I'm sure they definitely can.
'Mon boys lets make it a goodn'!

For those people not Scotland fans - to help you identify what is going on here: this is commonly known as the Euphoria Stage.
At this stage, a desire to beat the team that you are playing saturates invisibly and subtlely into a belief that you can in fact beat the team that you are playing, which in turn for no reason whatsoever solidifies into a belief that it is your 'destiny' to beat the team that you are playing. The Euphoria stage has been known to last until the later of (a) half time, (b) the moment that Dan Parks comes on, (c) the moment the camera cuts to Andy Robinson slamming his hand on the table in the coach's viewing booth.

Good luck to you tartaned (and apaprently drunk) ones.
It's clear, sunny, firm track and not cold for Edinburgh in this time of year. Exactly what Scotland probably didn't need.

I predict a closely fought and wonderful to watch first 20 -30 minutes or so, followed by a 10 minute spell where the AB's will score around 30 points, then a fairly quiet 2nd half.
It would just be the best thing ever if the scots got the result. I cant see it happening though.

Just about to go out for daughter's birthday lunch, it's not fair. Like GC I believe we will win. Oh dear, oh dear. If we keep it to less than 25 and no injuries then the next two are winnable. I just want to see a battling performance for 80 minutes! C'mon the boys

Afternoon All
Really looking forward to seeing Visser play for Scotland. I haven't seen him in a Scottish jersey yet.
Best of luck Scotland. Hope you get a couple of decent tries and make it hard for the ABs.
