Stephen Donald to join Bath from the looks of it.
Heard a few people say that Wasps have asked Haskell to come back - could be interesting as desperately need a no8!

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Kitchener was a done deal a little while ago. They mentioned it during the Saxons game the other day. Same with Brookes and Young.
Why sign if you are micky young. Guaranteed number 2. Shows as complete lack of ambition.
All 3 are great signings. Leicester need a back up 10 more than anything. Castro is obviously off with cole to be starter and brookes as back up with Julian White who has signed for another season!!

Good news re donald for Bath in terms of this game. I think he will cut defences to pieces in the AP. He is also really physical in terms of size. Never realised he was 16 stone!!. Always looks nig but that is huge for a ten

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
I think it could be a canny move for Donald, he's a good player. I think he would of struggled last season with Bath's poor pack but with their new boys they should be able to get a good platform for him. He's strong on the front foot.

He's a decent player mate but certain players get slaughtered on here, I'm also a massive fan of Jamie Noon but he get's a unfair hammering, mostly for playing in a poor England side with Tindall at 12

Ford has been the star of the side all year. Farrell has no right to his position in my book, Not when Ford's been doping so well

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Ford's best player in that u20 team by some distance, never seen a player with such composure at 18 - played for the Eng u18s when he was 15 and youngest ever player to play for a Premiership Club.
Keep a watch out for Ryan Mills and Elliot Daly in the centres, both very good players, best midfield I have ever seen an Eng u20 team have if I'm honest - they smashed Ireland 46-15 last time they played and Daly got a hattrick.
Be back online Saturday / Sunday I hope

I like short the wing. Mills is good as is Gray. The sh is poor. Robson on the bench is better but barely 19

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Watched the game - was impressed with Vunipola (he looks at least 32!) and Thomas, both very mobile and solid. Steven has Thomas been getting a lot of game time for Sale this season, seemed to look a bit cleverer than the rest of the forwards. Was disappointed with 4-8, although Kvesic came on strong in the last 20mins. They didnt protect the scrum half.
George Ford is 3-4 classes above anyone else at this level, passing, kicking is sublime - still 18 too. He will take over from Flood at Tigers by the time he is 20.
Also got to take into consideration that the English team had never played against 18 of the Irish team before, no chance to do video work etc, so playing against a completely unknown element. To come away with a winning BP is a good start though.

Thomas has been first choice TH since Xmas as Wihongi failed a drugs test and we had no on else. Been doing very well. Taken a few beatings at the scrum but done pretty well.
Ford is better than english players but Saffers looked great today.

Ford looks promising but that's all for me, think he's the next big hype. He's miles away from Flood though, can't really compare the two.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
He'll be a world beater Pooly, think he played for the Eng u18s when he was 15, youngest player to ever represent a Premiership club and I'm sure he first got into the u20s the day he turned 17. To achieve anything like that you have to be pretty special.
He's one of those players that looks like he has time on the ball - I hope Tigers will pick him ahead of Staunton this year in some of the AP games.
Hopefully a better performance in the next game, the SA's did look very strong - didnt think much of the Junior All Blacks though. Think the Aussies could ahve won it if they had Liam Gill, think he's a real talent.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
If a third make it to ap level it's good. When I played vickery, woodman and phil greening made it. Pretty much no one else. Maybe 4 of us played n1.
Physical size Is key. Short, Farrell, ford, have a chance.
Vunipola still unfit. There dad played for tonga and lower glos leagues. He is like his dad so prone to weight I will be surprised if makes it.
Irish prop killed him tonight.

I see in George Ford everything I saw in Jonny Wilkinson when he was at his best in 2003. if he develops as he should he will be a world beater.

Great bit of individual skill from Kurtley Beale there. Tom Carter is having a great season for the Tahs , didn't relise he was 28 years old mind! only just noticed him this season.
Ben Smith impresses me more every time i see him play , would be great to have on your bench. Covers 3 positions and seems to have so much time on the ball when in possession

Smiths came on stacks this season, remember him for the AB's few years back looking lost but he's improved beyond site.
I bought him for WC cover but he could be a bolter covering 14/11/15/12/13.
Been impressed with Carter too Driver, looks about 20!

the boys got some strength as well!
It's a shame Aus have had Mortlock/Ioane/AAC playing 13 over the last 10 years or he'd be playing international rugby.
Highlanders are so disjointed it's embarrassing Smith needed to shift that ball and he took it back in to where the chase was. First rule of counter attacking a kick - Change the point of attack!
