The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Jersey
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The pub has made its way to the island of Jersey, where the newly promoted hme side is off the bottom of the Championship.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Glen Jackson, Dan Parks and Matt Banahan above the bar.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Jersey
I think only Wales is on tonight Rodders.
Lucky: wru said it's because they were concerned about player burnout....even though the O's said they'd be resting quite a few players....if the wru didn't want player burnout then they shouldn't be playing Australia outside the window!!
It's odd....I'm nervous about this game, I used to take it as a win for granted....

It's probably just on BBC2 Wales, Rodders, but you should still be able to get that.
It's ridiculous, Prop. I bet the real reason the WRU objected to it is because they wouldn't be getting any of the profits.

It is a bollix that Children in Need is on. It's a worthy cause but it's lousy TV.
Actually, it's quite good radio-wise because they're taking listeners' requests on Radio 2 and they've got rid of their playlist.

'Recalled England wing Chris Ashton hopes to take out his frustration at not scoring in his last nine Tests against Australia on Saturday.'
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/
First of all, he doesn't hope to take out his frustration on Saturday, he hopes to take out his frustration on Australia. Secondly, he hasn't scored in his last nine Tests, not in his last nine Tests against Australia.
Pedant? Me? Yes, and I expect better from the BBC.

No boredom has evolved to rage and despair......
The project I've been allocated to for a year has now been canned for another 3 months....
That would be bad enough but the other people in my team are feicin useless... bluffing bollixes.... listening to the project tech lead trying to help a new experienced hire (who he interviewed) through really basic stuff they should both know (blind leading the blind) would be funny if I didn't have to work with them....
To be honest I would resign...but..... there's a baby rodders on the way next year ......
I'll have a better work life balance here...but I'd get more money and more interesting work elsewhere...its a bit of a pickle....

A BBC reporter has just been delivering his report on the PCC election in Swindon. Out of 10 people he asked, 6 didn't vote and had little understanding of the election and the job, 1 went in and just put an x down on a randomer and 3 told him who they voted for on 'I'm a Celebrity'.

I'm a rock-and-rolling man in a crappy little van and I'm dead excited me...
Congratulations, Rodders. Two of my sisters are up the duff at the moment. My youngest sister, who's due to give birth next month, went for a scan a few weeks ago. The woman doing the scan asked her if she knew the sex of the baby. My sister said she didn't (she wanted it to be a surprise). The woman zoomed in on a pair of testicles and said, 'it looks like a boy to me!'

Congrats rodders and mrs rodders.
I hope tonight's game is entertaining. Watch out for the Samoa #1 & 4. Sak Taulafo, and Dan Leo - current and ex Wasps. Plus Mo Fa'asavalu (Quins) at 8. Actually, Samoa have got a good side out tonight.
And they have been together for two weeks, having squashed Canada last weekend.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Jersey
A full Wales team in the RWC playing well just managed to scrape past Samoa. Samoa turned over Australia in Aus just before the RWC. If Wales allow Samoa a sniff they will roll us over with ease. Going into contact against this team is fatal yet North, Roberts and Phillips offer little else. It will be an intriguing battle and the set pieces and contact area will decide the winners as per usual.

Ruby, the problem is that we did try to go wide, we had all the incision of a spoon. No one committed any defenders. We'd better have worked on that during the week. Ashley Beck's a talented footballer, but seeing as he's outside Jamie Roberts he may not see the ball unless it's in the hands of a Samoan running straight at him.

Evening all
Apologies in advance to the Welsh regs, but I really want Samoa to win tonight. Nothing against Wales, but I love the way the Samoans play and we have had many of them at London Irish down the years.
Annoyingly I won't get to watch it live as got to pop out and won't be back until half 8, so won't be popping in here until well after it's finished in real time.
Hope everyone is well and is looking forward to the weekend of rugby whoever you support.
