Seems to be a bit more subtle today, running more at the space and offloading rather than trying to blast his way through. Would like to see him get more ball though

T Youngs' throwing was very good. However Fiji weren't challenging on the England lineout. SA will.

Throwing straight has not been his issue, throwing straight under pressure has been his issue. England lineout was not put under pressure by Fiji today. Youngs has had a good debut, really pleased to see it, as we need competition for jerseys.

I disagree, at Tigers it's never been pressure dependent on of he throes straight or not.

I think Sharples has stood out, would like to see him and ashton on the wings. Goode has stood out too, think Lancaster was right to choose him over browne.

Yeah Goode got his place.v oz.
Sharples impressed me.
The front row.
And I'll swallow my pride...Parling was good.
Lainchbury should start for Palmer.
And whilst Johnson hit the rucks etc....it will be interesting to see him v Oz....jury is still out for me....

I thought Goode stood out, he did what he was supposed to do and made some classy breaks. The front row played well (including the subs). The centres showed a bit better handling (they looked to pass at least). Sharples looked good too.
In phases we looked good at the breakdown, but they kept going to sleep. I think they will up the intensity next week (they'll need to).

Good win that for England. We didn't start playing for the first 15 minutes, but after that it was a fine display. We certainly won by a bigger margin than was expected. Front row was good, the half-backs linked up well, Tuilagi was a machine, Sharples and Goode both impressed. Bring on the Aussies!
Wales lost so even better in that race for 4th spot!

Only downside for me was allowing Fiji to carve through the mid-field untouched near the end which led to their second try. It looked too easy. Something for England to worry about there but overall very good indeed.

any one else get bored of the constant 'fine physical specimans' nonsense that is consantly bandied about re PI teams? I reckon england far out muscled their opposite numbers and the fiji no. 14 will wake up in a cold sweat for days to come thinking about Monye (great game, surely needs consideration), charging at him!

Monye was a beast today. He definitely had a point to prove and prove it he did. Ashton, he of the dodgy tackle, could be lucky to get back in the side. I definitely wouldn't mind seeing Sharples and Monye run out for the next match.

Waldrom gets some stick, and he would like to forget some aspects of today, but he puts in a serious shift.
A few stats from EPSN: 13 passes, 17 carries, 48 metres, 2 defenders beaten, 2 offloads, 2 turnovers, 10 out of 11 tackles. 2 penalties conceded though.

I'm a bit annoyed (in Germany). I went all the way into the town to find an "Irish Pub" showing the rugby. Only to find they were watching bloody Bundeslegua football.
The worst thing was, I could have stayed at home and watched Wales get spanked on the BBC.
