Who should be official v2 GAA mod?
Mod Election Poll
First topic message reminder :
I'll be leaving the presidential election until May when the other place closes down and our Gaelic brothers (and sisters) move in. But since its a wee bit quiet on here I thought we could just hold the moderator poll.
The official GAA moderator election, brought to you by, the dole que, and sponsored by, the welfare state- "that dream job always seems that bit further away when on british benifits!"
Now we want a nice clean campaign, yes ye can vote for yersel, no funny business in the ruck and make sure you bind properly in the scrum, and no eye gougin! The poll will last for 10 days. Let battle commence!
*In the interst of democratic viability please abstain from voting unless you are actually a regular on the "irish sports" board.*

I was going to consult the admins once we had a winner, but I think the original time limit I put on it was changed (I only wanted it to run for 10 days). Besides, it seemed like nobody wants the Job anyway. We've also got two candidates who haven't even done any campaigning. If there needs to be a winner then since Cari is in the lead I nominate her for the job of GAA Moderator, Uchtarain of the v2 GAA republic and defender of the people.
BTW RB, I think we've done well better than the belgians.
you think on politicsinbelgium.com they are having the same non-debate?
"I don't want it"
"neither do I"
No, but they've got the right idea-

It has nothing to do with actually winning, it was all just about the campaign, that was the main thing.

What about your Cari support campaign?
We really ought to go to nottingham and Antrim/Down and drag those two deserters back.

Re: Mod Election Poll
well it is a conundrum really.
I don't know whether you created this "Hobo" character way back before any of us joined as a 'sleeper' agent just to exert some influence over this election. The election could be very very real, just that you are trying to get us to take our eye off the prize...in which case, vote Cari.
If it genuinely means nothing and we are just going to campaign for no reason at all.....well that is the kind of pointless action that this fool loves.

Hobo wrote:As for getting a mod in here - not sure it really needs one at the moment. Quite a few sections dont really justify the need at this moment in time but the leading candidates in this poll are certainly at the top of our list for future modship.
If anything needs looking at, there are a few global mods (pr4wn and fernando) who can help out as well as the admin team - just let us know.
Rejected again Look at that. My attempt to take over Mary McAleese's job in ruins. No going to rugby matches and All Ireland Finals for nothing. No shaking hands and picking my favourite players.

But Cari we all know you'll insist that Tommy and Wally play in every game you attend. Regardless of the sport .
Just wanted to say lads, joke poll or not the electioneering on here was brilliant -hilarious!

If I was a real mod I would be handing out some stern warnings right about now to my intellectual inferiors.
