Yeah, but its the Cowboys in what amounts to a playoff game (since Detroit won't beat Chicago I imagine)

Haha, a wee exaggeration there but yeah, there were a number of top 10 trades last year. There's no RG3 in next year's draft to get the trade ball rolling though. Will be interesting to see if this year's draft is going to be the new norm under the new CBA and the changes it brought to draft pick remuneration. In the "old" days, trades inside the top 10 were uncommon and only really happened when someone lost their heads over a guy - ironically, the Jets moving up to take Sanchez was one of the last biggies under the old CBA

Yeah they gave up a 1st, 2nd and 3 players to get Sanchez. Nice

I think trades are going to be very common if I'm honest, and I think only 1 and 10 picks werent traded. The big thing that prevented teams making big moves up was commiting massive money to rookies. Now they don't have to do that, they're happy to get aggressive for big players.

Tbh, I'm not sure RG3 really played any part in the trade spree aside from Cleveland deciding to jump up 1 for Richardson. That happened ages before.

If you're a Giants fan, and in a game that you absolutely must win, I'm not entirely sure you'd be overjoyed Foles is hurt and Vick jumped Edwards. Hasn't played well his year, but a healthy Vick can make things happen, and hes playing for a starting job somewhere.

Vikings D has been crazy good these past few games! Hopefully we can pull the win out against the Packers, that would be sweet! And maybe even AP breaking the record for the icing on the cake

And then they took McClain over Anthony Davis, Earl Thomas, JPP, Mike Iupati, Sean Weatherspoon , Demariyus Thomas and so on and so on. I really don't get how a team can draft so badly so consistently

Good! Can't stand the hierarchy of the Jets (and im a fairly neutral Redskins fan). The Jets are just a badly run organisation from top to bottom with bad characters everywhere and the Tebow circus they brought was ridiculous. Rex Ryan should follow Tannenbaum out the door too, he needs to stick to just being a defensive coordinator. I don't understand how Sanchez can be reinstalled as starter for this weekend... (Rant over)

I personally think they should start Jeremy Kerley just for the heck of it
I don't mind Rex Ryan, I think he's a pretty darn good coach. He just needs to go back to what got them to 2 AFC Championship games, which was a shutdown defence and a good solid running game with high percentage throws chucked in.

Re: Ongoing NFL discussion thread
I think Rex Ryan is a darn good defensive coach, but as head coach his decision making is being shown to be suspect & his work with the offensive coordinator is clearly not working. I know there have been key injuries this season but the team has regressed these past two years and I don't see much to inspire optimism.
