The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Amaile
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The pub has made its way to Amaile on the eastern-most tip of Upolu Island in Samoa - the first place on Earth to usher in the New Year.
So hop on a hammock and let one of the locals pour a kava down your throat as you are trying to read Tusiata Avia's famous poem: "Wild Dogs Under My Skirt" to the sounds of the Yandell Sister's "Sweet Inspiration" blaring in the background.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of George Pisi, Census Johnston, Paul Williams, Tony Greig, Christopher Martin Jenkins, Mike Nicholls, Babsy and Jeremy Su'a above the bar.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Amaile
You're preaching to the choir MrsP.
Back where I worked we had a revolving door system amongst staff. My boss and also her superior both resigned as they were unable to convince the powers that be that change was needed.
I was asked if I'd like to apply for a management position. I answered honestly what I thought and was told "we're more looking for someone who can make things work with our current system".
I got another job and 6 months later my old company had shut down due to losing too much money.

I think this lot might be the same ones who claimed they couldn't find our house one other time even though they had everything apart from the GPS co-ordinates!
They delivered the Christmas Cards I had ordered on the 5th of January.

Oh god no. I was never remotely considering staying there.
I had an offer between the job I am in now and another position with another company. Dont regret it for an instant.

I have been communicating with the company about their choice of courier. Apparently he was "near" us yesterday. Well a wee phone call would have sorted that out but they don't "do" that!
So, they've wasted their drivers time, their phone operators time, their dispatcher's time, the vendor's time and kept me home for 10 hours yesterday and on the phone or emailing for over an hour today but, hey!

Good afternoon, folks. Finally sorted out the PC (fingers crossed), it's been playing up, stalling, crashing, finally refused to load the OS this morning. Switching off, then back on DOES work!

Tings are good Lucky mate. Was knackerred after a flying trip to Newcastle, Redcar, Swansea and Cardiff. All work. All travel. Got back last night. But, I had a great night out in Swansea. Was in a bar called No Sign(it was a mile long, no schitt), and man, when we looked out the window to the street, it was like watching a Fellini movie. Welsh student girls, in micro see-though frocks, pished, falling over, and having a good time. Its was like the Red Light, only in reverse? We were looking out the window instead of in. Dutch guys are still talking about it. It was culture-shock in the best tradition. But they loved it.
Really liked Newcastle, always liked Cardiff, Swansea was sweet, but Redcar should be demolished. In fact, it looks like it has been already and no one has noticed.
Had dinner atop this 28 story building in (correction)Swansea Bay. Man what a view. Food & service were excellent too. Highly recommend it.
Hows you bud? Miss yer face.

The service and warmth of the staff and the punters in it, was great Glas. Great Pub. Cant say enough about it. Suffice it to say, the uber-efficient and helpful barman had to eventaully ask us to leave as he was closing up. We thanked him and gave him a large IBM-paid tip. My future goto places in Swansea, as well as that rooftop restaurant. Must check it out for more next time.

This from one flag protester "just because one side got more votes than the other, that doesn't necessarily make it democratic". Right, I must be thick, then.

Montpellier notch a bp win at Sale. Toulon at home to come for them.
That will take a few teams out of the beat runners uo spots.

If Leinster dont win the Heino. Again. We will win the Amlin at the Orr-Dee-Ess. Against Wasps I feel. I may need a ticket for my home ground Ound.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Amaile
Well, Ulster are in the quarter-finals!
It was disappointing, because Ulster were really excellent for the first 20 minutes but went badly off the boil in the middle forty before taking control of the game in the last 20 again.
Northampton have done us a massive favour and I hope they can get a best runners-up spot. It doesn't change much for us, if we don't beat Castres we won't get a home quarter-final and that could leave us traveling to Clermont or Toulon- no thankyou! We want our quarter-final to be in Ireland so it's all about getting a big performance and a win next week.

I want a HC try-scoring record at the RDS tomorrow. And the real Leinster to turn up. Nothing else will do.
ASM will make the Final. 3 strong, rich French teams, with deep squad quality, in the way of the Welsh, English and Irish.
Cant see any of the Irish sides making the Final tbh.
I believe it will be an all-French Final in Dublin. Destined to be.

Was Cari appropriately dressed?
She probably intended to get soaked so she could slip off to the dressing rooms after the match and borrow some of Tommy's threads.
