I was desperately looking for a parking space today. I thought bugger it and parked in a disabled space...just as a traffic warden came around the corner.
"You're not disabled!"
"Yes I am"
"Oh yes? You don't look it. What's your disability then?"
"Kumquat! Muppet! Tourettes bumhole!"

Blydi hell! Parisse out for the rest of the championship for chopsing to a ref, yet Healy misses one match for stamping on a player's ankle. Come on boys, this is a disgrace. I know we need to be keen on verbal abuse of officials, but we need to be firmer on attempted physical maiming of other players.

Its a joke. Howley must have been on the citing commission.

If Howley'd been lobbying for a ban, Parisse would have been cleared.

Anyone who was outraged by Healy's stamp should watch this clip from the Ire v Eng under 20 match. Now this really is dangerous:

It's times like these some folks need good defence lawyers.
Did you manage to get a quick slash in against a wall on your latest trip to Paris?
I tend to look at that sort of behaviour as a kind of "Thank You" to the host country.
One must assert their cultural dominance in foreign parts....

I was impressed with it... didn't realise it was so bronze. Corrosion is obviously a problem but the flowers in summer disguise the urine stench really well I thought.

I'm surprised there is a urine smell around there - I would have thought that the squadron of cab drivers loitering around the base had taken the p!ss for so long, that it's dryer than a horse burger in the sahara.

That timeless musky smell then... sort of like what you get? (or used to get) in tube stations. Same thing here in Sydney. If only those tiles could talk.

Doesn't really bear thinking about but oneof htese days the player is going to end up on his head not his shoulder and it will be game over. I wonder what goes through the minds of people who tackle like this...not much obvioulsy..all he had to do was wait for him to play the ball and smash him back.

And just what exactly, does any of that have to do with the smell of p1ss in Paris? Some people

Mrs P, white is black. If I was an Irish Oscar Pistorius I'd want you in my corner.
I'll take that as a compliment and pray, for the sake of all who mourn Reeva Steenkamp, that there are people involved in that case who can look past the hyperbole and press spin and try to understand what actually happened.

Indeed MrsP. There seems to be misinformation and all sorts surrounding the case. A legal version of a archaeological trowel will be required to uncover the truth it seems.

The reason for the appeal is for clarification as to why a three week ban started a week after the incident. I don't think they are trying to claim Healy wasn't guilty of reckless play.

By "appealing" the IRFU are seeking clarification as to why the ban started a week after the act for which he got the ban. That is all as far as I know.

It hasn't helped Healy's cause that he was heard humming "These boots are made for walking" as he stomped into the appeal room, kicking a chair out of the way as he entered. Let's hope he doesn't punch the judge as he's booted out.

Re: Cian Healy - cited
"Healy is actually missing four weeks of rugby as the initial three-man disciplinary committee, chaired by Roger Morris of Wales, counted the week after the English match on February 10th as a fallow period because the player was not expected to be released to play for Leinster. Effectively, this punished Ireland’s player management system.
Spring could point out that Paddy Jackson has been released to play for Ulster on Friday, five days after starting against Scotland.
It can also be stated that a French player cited on the same day as Healy would be available to play at the Aviva stadium on March 9th."
