2013 version 2.0 Wales vs England bickering thread.
First topic message reminder :
Carry on your bickering here.
I was going to summarise the previous thread, but going through a thousand posts and ultimately it ends on goats, sheep on your 18th brithday that hangs around longer than strippers doesn't say much for the rest of the content.
Enjoy.

Re: 2013 version 2.0 Wales vs England bickering thread.
whats the point of asking a question which you already know the answer to?
Shaping a question to fit your argument doesn't mean that you're right.... its just that you're trying to base your argument around your own beliefs.
Has England outpeformed Wales in the 6N.... of course they have.
England beat Ireland and France.
Wales lost to Ireland and beat France.
Thats simple truth, no statistics on points, tries scored etc etc, injuries etc.
Since last years competition the spread in ranking points between England and Wales has been +4.3 ranking points in England's favour. They have been better since last years 6N and inc. this tournament also, no way of getting around that.
But if you want to shape your argument
in last 12 months - England have been better, current tourn. and ranking points spread prove that.
in last 5 years - Wales have been better (won 2 GS, 1 RWC SF and won 4/7 vs ENG).
in last 10 years - England. England have 9/15 wins vs. Wales. 2 6N titles (1 GS), 2 RWC final appearances (1 win, 1 loss). Wales have 3 GS, not quite the same.
Pro Era (since 1996) - England have 5 6N titles to Wales 3. 15/22 wins. Not to mention a record at the RWC of (QF,W,F,QF) compared to (QF, QF, Pools, SF).
Amateur Era - Wales shade this. 22 5N titles to ENG 21 titles (although they have 11 GS compared to Wales 8). Wales also have more wins 48 compared to 41 to England.
All time - England shade this given their better record in the pro era. 56 wins to Wales 55. 26 titles to Wales 25 and 1 RWC to Wales none.
happy? Who is better... who cares.

baseless shaped facts? Not at all
England's only retort is to quote IRB rankings, RWC results and how you have won more 6 Nations titles or been more consistent coming 2nd ( )
3 Slams in the last 8 years...I'd say that was great base to start from and lets compare it again shall we...how many do England have?
3-0 in the last 10 years
1-0 in the last 3 years
Wales are current GS champions
More Slams than any all the home Unions combined
Oh but England have come 2nd lots so well done for that
And England are top of the table at the moment again so doubly well done
All utterly baseless facts.

Beefy
What are you talking about?
It was a retort to your assertion that Wales were playing better than England in this years 6N and that they had a better time since the last 6N. Which is rubbish... Just like your earlier comment mocking the fact that so many English players are indeed foreign. Btw Wales started 5 foreign born players on the weekend, compared to Englands 3.
What I said was that that is clearly not true given the fact that a) ENG are the only team unbeaten in this years 6N and b) the spread in ranking points between ENG and WAL has moved +4.0 ranking points in ENG favour. If that ain't clearcut I don't know what is.
Wales have certainly the better record over the last five years. That is undisputed as whilst their overall performance in terms of head to heads and total wins is near identical Wales have won the title 2 times and England 1.
Please accept my apologises for not replying earlier... Whilst people are shown as being online... they may not actually be viewing the site, rather the session has not been closed.
On a personal note, I'd rather win the title 5 times in a row and have the odd slam thrown in then win 2 slams and then come 4th every other time..... just my own personal preference but each to their own.

The only notable thing England did in the last 12 months was beat NZ beyond that it was business as usual.

Jimpy, that's your problem you see, you always have to take things a step too far and have no sense of humour. The cardinal rule is attack th epost not the poster but because you generally don't seem able to convey an argument within your posts you have to resort to frankly offensive comments.

Re: 2013 version 2.0 Wales vs England bickering thread.
Never mind childish bickering I think we should really turn our collective attention to what looks like a potential banana skin against Wales in Cardiff.
England are far the better side, but we shouldn't be complacent as we all know that if Wales beat England they will consider their year a huge success. It's their very own little cup final and you can be sure they will put in an enormous effort to beat us to negate the misery of their inevitable slide further down the rankings.

Nope, Wales are stagnant in the rankings - just at the top of the 'second tier' nations.

The slide has been arrested. Beat England and they will be heading up again. This thread will get really toxic over the next 17 days I fear.
