Can Ireland beat France?
First topic message reminder :
With France having lost three games in a row (Italy, Wales, England), they are now on the road to face Ireland.
One side of the argument suggests that France are "due a win" while the other says that they are on the ropes and a new look Irish side can add to their misery.
Can Ireland beat this French team?

Morg - who knows what the French plan is. I'm beginning to think PSA is more confusing than Lievremont was on that score.

I really hope Wee Paddy gets this...although Moore has just said it's against the wind. Job done!
10-3 at 29 minutes.
I wish they wouldn't keep cutting to Sexton in the stands. You can hardly see him, and what do they think he's going to do by way of reaction?

PSA's pre match talk (use an Allo Allo accent please)
"OK, men. Yooo no wat we af to do. We will lull them into the state of confoosion by do nothing. Then wen they are not expecting it, I make the changes and we win"

Excellent turnover by POM there and superb kick by Marshall and then advantage given way by utter stupidity by Ryan.

I like Ryan as a player, but if he knew what he was doing he should have seen yellow.

I'm really glad that Marshall and Murray are babysitting Jackson through this match. He's no ROG.

If Ireland can keep France out now, they'll be happy with that for the second half. Ireland need to watch their discipline though.
Michalak penalty kick...wide again.
13-3 at HT.

I wish Butler would stop trying to pronounce th eFrench team in what he believe is an authentic way. It makes him sound pretentious and half the time he is wrong anyway.

France 40 minutes away from losing 4 out of 4, after being initially joint favourites for the Six Nations. Good old France, whether it's football or rugby, you can certainly count on them to fall to pieces!

Re: Can Ireland beat France?
What's clear from this 6N is that Ireland play much better against teams who don't play back.

Re: Can Ireland beat France?
Sorry Nathan, you may not have realised I was showing barely contained contempt for RTE's analysis before the match.
The Irish pack has placed very well though individually no forward has soon out- and that is the way we need it. Players doing their jobs properly and not hiding at centre or the wing. Murray has been good though a couple of poor decisions with his kicks. Jackson excellent. Poor BOD hardly seen the ball.
