I think San Francisco, San Diego, Giants and Texans have had most impressive drafts

Also I must thank the Chiefs for what we've managed to get via the Alex Smith Trade:
Tank Carradine
7th rounder which we used to get Lemonier
2014 3rd from Titans
2014 2nd (conditional) or third from Chiefs
wow

They really wasted a pick on Pryor...GSC wrote:The Raiders take a QB named Wilson.

Not quite sure how I feel on the Browns/Steelers trade would have thought a new regime would want more picks than a 1st, 3rd, 5th, 6th and 2 7ths and obviously taking just a pick next year is a gamble.

We all know that Freeman is in his do-or-die season and boing has changed as far as I'm concerned.
Also, if Freeman goes down injured, I'd much rather have Glennon running our current offence than Orlovsky. Glennon's poor performances came when he was under a lot of pressure. He'll now be behind a ProBowl left tackle and two ProBowl guards.
My issue is that it was a wasted pick with so much better talent available. I also think this is a big statement from Sergeant Schiano that Freeman is gone regardless of what he does next year, also why draft a guy who had the issues in college which Freeman has in the NFL? If you're going QB, there were better guys available in my mind. I'm letting my frustrations over a shoite day creep in a bit alright though.

How is he possibly gone regardless? I think most would call it a back up plan...Thomond wrote:Pr4wn wrote:Thomond, calm down mate, it's not the end of the world! It's not fair. The 49ers are so good at drafting.
Jets draft OT in Ofay Aboushi. Didn't look at many OT's this year but its clear we're going BPA. Tackle was a long way down in the list of needs and we drafted a versatile Lineman in Brian Winters in the 3rd. Underwhelming.

Re: NFL Draft 2013 discussion
I don't care if people say I'm bias but niners are making a killing in this draft. Goldson has been replaced, we have a guy in Carradine who is better than Werner and a top 20 pick bar injury who can be a nickle rusher now and Justin Smith replacement possibly down the road. McDonald is my 3rd rated tight end behind Eifert and Kelce but he is the best fit for the 49ers and think he will bring the versatility we have lost in Walker. Lemonier has first round talent if you look at sophp=omore season but Aburn were joke last yearall over, great depth. Patton I love and he apparently has an ego hence the drop but anyone that has watched him knows he is a top 50 talent all day. And then Lattimore is who I wanted, we can redshirt him and see what he can do in 2014 season and beyond.
And we have most likely an extra second, third, 6th and 7th round next year. And most likely a 3rd round comp pick too. In Baalke we trust

D'you know GSC it's not a whole lot different from the Skins taking Cousins in the 4th last year. Seemed like a waste at the time but we were thankful for him in the end. No pressure on him, if he's pants then it's only a 4th. If he's great, then Kelly and Roseman look like geniuses.
