Good news on Dundee Utd re-signing David Goodwillie on a 6 month loan deal, think it could be beneficial to both
Kevin Thomson looks likr he'll be re-signing with Hibernian
Yeh my missus brother told me that today and I thought of my post
I'm in two minds about Goodwille, I'm pleased to see him back and we desperatly need someone to fill the goals void that'll be left by Russel and Daly but united have reportedly had to pay 300k to take him on loan which is pretty steep for 6 months business and I fear his move down to england may have ruined him, I've not got any basis for that but it looks like we'll be putting all our eggs in his basket so it has to work out.
On the other hand my missus is delighted as she fancies him and he often comes into her work to get food, she knew about the transfer before I did.

Gomez knows he isn't getting any game time next season, and a big guy like him will get 20 goals in Serie A. As it's World Cup year, he really had to move. Great signing for La Viola too, they can sell Jovetic and not skip a beat, plus spend the extra moolah on another midfielder!
Van Ginkel is mad. Although I bet Kevin de Bruyne and Victor Moses are seething about that deal

So Chelsea have:
Mata, E.Hazard, Oscar, v.Ginkel, de Bruyne, Moses and on loan T.Hazard/Marin
I think thats enough creative players

De Rossi - Lampard
Oscar - Mata - Hazard
With Mikel + van Ginkel + de Bruyne on the bench, leaves no room at all for Moses and means Marin and Thorgen Hazard are never getting near that side.
The strong rumour I heard of Ba + Moses coming to Albion for the season looks like it might have some legs to it.

Jose's going to have an out and out DM somewhere. Lampard probably sees his gametime reduce further this season

He brought Essien to RM last year and he was a fixture under him last time at Chelsea. Alonso and Khedira maybe not out and out DMs but both def sat deeper at times. Gut would say Jose would revert to his pragmatic side he was forced to abandon at RM.

Lampard is his favourite player though, he has to play. I'd be shocked to see Essien come back into the team, if they sign De Rossi he's their deeper player.

You'd have to say he is guaranteed. Mourinho was playing Carvalho despite his age / ability. He'll sell David Luiz and play Terry-Cahill, with Ivanovic at RB. He won't rate Azpilicueta, he's too attacking for Mourinho's tastes.
Damiao to Southampton, surely not

Essien played right back a fair bit.
Khedira is box to box and alonso is a playmaker.
I don't think he'll ever go for a makelele type again.

Azp - Ivanovic - Luiz - Cole

Lukaku
Is what I think Jose will go with

Essien played RB when they had no other option there.
I really can't see Jose not reverting to his usual pragmatic side after last season at Real.

Forgot Ramires and Schurrle, how on earth are all these players going to get on the pitch
I do agree that Lukaku starts, unless they sign Rooney / Lewandowski / Cavani.
I think he goes:
Cech
Ivanovic-Terry-Cahill-Cole
Ramires-Lampard
Oscar-Mata-Hazard
Lukaku
No De Rossi, no new striker. Keeps Torres around and lets Ba go.

Although Lampard and Terry might not play as much as they used to, i think that Jose Mourinho still thinks (like me) that they are both key players for Chelsea when they play and even when they don't in my opinion.
I think that if we don't sign another striker then we will be using Lukaku as the main striker and i am happy with that for sure.

Anelka to Albion almost a done deal.
Kalou to Albion almost a done deal, he's agreed terms but we have to match his £2.6m release fee.
We apparently also want Florent Malouda, but he wants more than we are willing to pay.
And we're re-signing Zoltan Gera.
Overall, very unhappy.

Anelka's 34, and is as slow as my nan.
Kalou was poor for Chelsea, doesn't have a very good wortk ethic.
Malouda is 33, never makes an effort.
Gera I love.
We'll be splashing out £130k a week in wages on two 34's, a 33 and a 27yo, none of whom are of the calibre of, say, Van Wolfswinkel to Norwich, Damiao to Southampton, Bony to Swansea etc. We're getting left behind.

I understand what you are saying - I'm not sure how well the other players will get on but i think Anelka will still do a good job, he scores goals.

I'd rather have Franco di Santo than Anelka tbh. Anelka couldn't even get on Juve's bench, he's that bad now.

£25m for Higuain plus £150k per week
£30m for Rooney plus £200k per week
£40m for Suarez plus £150k per week
£95m total outlay plus £500k per week, Sell Gervinho for £10m, saves you his £80k a week wage. Sell Giroud for £8m and save his £70k a week wage. Sell Podolski for £15m and save his £100k a week wage.
Total outlay is now £62m, plus £250k a week wages. That's well affordable. And you have to say, if they pulled it off, that'd be a fourth challenger for the title.

I think if Arsenal are to sign a player out of them 3 it will most likely be Higuain.

Giroud would easily fetch £8m from a Turkish team, as would Gervinho. They're desperate for anyone over there.
I wasn't saying Arsenal will sign them I was merely showing that it is a possibility to afford them all.
Higuain to Arsenal is as much of a certainty as Robben having no hair next season.

If anyone else shows any interest he'd go IMO.
Otherwise there has been some serious heel dragging over a dead cert.
Be amazed either way, didnt think arsenal would spend or could attract that calibre of player.
