Wimbledon Day 8 or 9
There's some ladies on. I think I want Li Na to win this one, along with Lisicki and whoever. Maid Marion too.

Welcome to the cheapest day of the event to get great tickets to Centre.

Take it from me, even Day 1 was much more expensive.

Re: Wimbledon Day 8 or 9
I didn't realise that Wimbledon tickets were so ridiculously overpriced....
I got more value for money when I went to the London Olympics last year. I can stay home and watch Wimbledon on TV, thank you very much....
Lisicki put Kanepi away impressively in the first set. Is this the year when the German will go all the way?

"Overpriced"?
They sell, therefore they're priced correctly. Come Sunday, if Murray's in the final they'll be going for more than this.

Just because a load of mugs pay hundreds of pounds for a day's action doesn't make it value for money....
They're welcome to them!
So far, Lisicki is keeping her head together....3-2 in the second.

Lisicki wins.
Radwanska up a TB set. Li missed quite a few chances, including a challenge which should have won her the set.

Lisicki crushes Kanepi at three and three...I can't say that I'm surprised. There was a huge gap in class between these two.
A-Rad takes the tiebreak against Li....

Will the play suspension help Li?

Radwanska is the one doing all the running, so she probably needs a breather more than Li, and she'll be very pleased.
I'd think it would be more to Li's advantage to be able to get on and keep putting pressure on Radwanska. Also, I guess they see their coaches during the break - Li's coach had better not tell her that she won that set but failed to make the winning point good with a challenge or she'll be haunted.
It is a nicely poised match, I like them both as players, but I'd like to see Radwanska win. It's a shame she's in the same half as Lisicki, because I'd like to see them both in the final.

Re: Wimbledon Day 8 or 9
That was quite brilliant from Radwanska, completely out-muscled by Li Na but came through the tie-break. Fantastic first set, shame about the rain.

I wish li na would take some of these desperate gets by radwanska out of the air by coming to the net!
Very reluctant to shorten the points that way it seems.

There can't be much between Radwanska and Murray's 2nd serves.

There is between a few other women's, and Murrays. There must be a dozen with faster second serves than him.

Loving this match, I've been spoiled today and yesterday with my favourite WTA players all facing each other. Aggi's looking good for the win, but can't count the chickens just yet - Li has a lot of steel, could yet mount a comeback.

Bartoli, Serena, Venus, Lisicki, Kvitova, Robson all probably have faster 2nd serves than Murray.

Re: Wimbledon Day 8 or 9
So pleased Lisicki through to semis.
Was torn between Na Li and Radwanska - just come in to see Li hold serve and McEnroe talking about the need for rule change before Aggie had the trainer on (again apparently!). Not sure what has been happening - anyone?

I think at the FO Errani sent a 46mph 1st serve over the net to Serena. Let's just say it didn't come back at that pace.

medical time out at the end of the 2nd set for radwanska and before she served for the match the trainer was on again for her.

Aggie did well to handle the pressure, but Lisicki will be less forgiving.

I never really watch women's tennis as I am not really a fan per se, but both matches on cc today have been quite enjoyable with some high quality tennis.

Flipkens!!! Wouldn't mind any of these 4 winning the title, but in order of preference:
Lisicki
Bartoli
Aggie
Flipkens
Honourable mention to Kvitova for waiting for Flipkens before she walked off court. That's the first time I've seen that this year.

Good, quite happy with all the results (not bothered about Bartoli / Stephens, crowd stupidity swung me Marion's way).
I must say its a more interesting event than the Men's now. Hoping Lusicki wins it from here.

Bartoli's great. She's so obviously an evil genius and I find her mannerisms highly entertaining. Could you ever imagine someone in the men's game two-handed on both sides? They'd be hammered by the media, pundits, everyone!!
