National League bidding page
First topic message reminder :
This is where you bid for National League players.
You can also release players to National League sides for a small fee based on Experience here.
For Budgets please see SJE Budget page
Rules for Domestic Transfers from other UK clubs outside the Premiership
1. All domestic transfers need to state (i) full name of player (ii) club signing from and (iii) the initial bidding price.
2. The bid will be accepted/rejected after 24hours.
3. However, if a player is dual-registered the player whose club he is dual registered with will automatically get the opportunity to call that player up into their academy. They will have 48 hours after the initial bid to declare that this is what they are doing. The player must be named in their academy and if they are over the 20 player limit they will have to remove a player from the academy.
4. If this is not done within 48 hours of the original bid being accepted then they will not be entitled to have that player in their academy.
5. There will also be a premium rate for players that move clubs in this way, with a minimum of £1m being paid to the club that loses its academy prospect by means of compensation. This figure will be decided by the person responsible for domestic transfers.
6. If a young player is signed from a rugby league club they will NOT then form part of your own academy unless they are under 18. If you would like an over 18 year old to join your club you must bid from them in the same way you would do a Championship player.

Hoping so Chris. Have their 8/9/10 axis for the year as well as Garvey and Kvesevic. Hoping for some good performances from them during the world cup to help me out

I'd take both over Lewis to put things into comparison. Arr is future star and Perry had a good season in France. Be interesting how Worcester get on, they look stronger than the Falcons already.

To be fair pooley you stated earlier in the year that Fielden was better than sharples!!!
Arr is 22 and does not have the game management that Lewis has. Thats why Lewis was first choice for England u20

Perry is a proven performer and top game manager having done it in the premiership, top 14 and for England... Talking of average... Whos this Lewis lad then Matt?

Fielden is a class act in a bad team, Sharples has came through well this last 6 month.

Re: National League bidding page
difference between being in the championship and having an arm chair ride behind the most dominant pack in the league than to being in the AP behind a beaten pack as i feel Worcester will be this year.
Personally i think Worcester will go straight down although Falcons will run them close.
Once people worked out Perry had a poor pass of the one they really targetted him and he went down hill. Has a fantastic box kick and used to have good pace but lost it.

Guess we'll see fella, doubt our 3rd choice scrummies will see that much action anyway. Hoping for a good season from Arr though

Re: National League bidding page
Perry has just had two top years in France for Brive so cant see how hes gone downhill at all?? never had an issue with his service, agree lost that bit of pace but hes a great game manager with a good kicking game.
Worcester might not have the strongest front 5 but a backrow with Horstman, Best and Sanderson all proven performers in the premiership before and young guns like Abbot and Kvesic they will give alot of sides a tough game

Lewis will see a lot of action for me. I am a big fan and he will run Lawson close at glos this year.
Kvesic looks a real proper 6 massively impressed me in the u20s.
SJE watch Perry take 2 steps before passing it will drive you wild. I know bristol were not upset to lose him.

This is the Lewis who has started just 16 league games for Glaws in 3 years?
Hes really shown that hes twice the player of Perry in that time?

Re: National League bidding page
Odd statement Steve, Arr has just won Worcester player of the year and Perry has had a solid season in France. I'm guessing you've seen neither alot last season to gauge their current ability.

Re: National League bidding page
I think its true. Perry was always average and was just at his best during a period of weak English scrum half's therefore got his caps . Lewis has been brilliant each time I've seen him.
I don't think its a particularly strange statement its just opinions. I imagine you feel how I do when you say you don't like Genia

Not really. I do like Genia I just think he's the standout scrum half about, I think he's one in the mix.
I'm taking you seen a fair bit of Arr and Perry last season? Or are you just sucking up to Matt

Re: National League bidding page
I saw him when Worcester were on tv but read a report and match ratings every week in the rugby paper. The Championship is a long way below the Premiership in terms of overall level of skills across the board. You have to be really tearing the league up to be up there with a player who is playing well in a top 4 premiership side.
Arr didn't make the championship dream team that I saw (Gavin Cattle of Cornish Pirates did) and from what I saw in the Championship Final Cattle did play better than Arr (admittedly probably the only Pirates player along with Hopper who matched his opposite number).
This is what I base my judgement on as well as bit part appearances he made in the AP for Worcester.

Judge them next year pooly. Are has had easy ride behind that pack. If they rated him that much don't think they would have signed perry as 1st choice

Re: National League bidding page
Yea your right Matt, not sure Perry will be first choice but it can't be a bad thing for them. Think they'll def finish above Falcons, our signings haven't inspired me

Re: National League bidding page
A year in the championship is normally the making of most teams after relegation - look at Saints, made Lawes and Ashton, look at Quins. Worcestor havent got the same star players as both of those did, but they've got a nice balance to their team, think Abbott will start in their backrow and they'll have Grove back from his loan in Scotland. Arscott is a good player for them, very solid. Be interesting to see if Benjamin can push on, he didnt score enough tries for me this year, which either means the Championship has improved a lot, or he just isnt as good as he should now be.

Re: National League bidding page
Pasqualin will do well for Falcons and I haven't heard of many other signings. I know you tried to hijack our Fourie deal at the 11th hour.
Diamond is signing a fly half, a full back and a centre then we're done. In talks with a Southern hemisphere 10 and don't know about the centre and full back.
Hoping Sale are more competitive away from home next year. Embarrassed by some of our results

Re: National League bidding page
You did get rather a few spankings last year Steven! Wasps are looking promising, a lot will depend on whether Simpson goes to the WC with England - he makes our whole team tick. Improved front row, second row and backrow - just need a fullback really. Looking forward to seeing how our youngsters get on, Launchbury, Billy Vunipola, Sam Jones, Charlie Davies, Jack Wallace, Elliot Daly and Jack Wallace all look very good players.
Davies had a year at Stade Francais and I think was on loan to Nottingham last year - cant be a worse season than last year. Pretty glad their are awful teams like Newcastle around to make Wasps look world beaters ;-)

Damn you Chris! Lol...Wasps and Gloucester and Kingston are bankers, it's the rest I'm worried about. Wasps have really tightened up their pack, just need shot of Payne.

Re: National League bidding page
Payne improved last year, he had two good games in the same season - unheard of. Its the equivalent of the Newcastle pack not being pushed back in a scrum. ALthough to be fair he'd be the best forward in the Newcastle pack by some distance!
Always felt sorry for Newcastle, look through the AP and there are so many top English players that have come from Newcastle and if they had managed to keep hold of them then they'd have a top 3 team - wonder if you could make a team out of the players that have left them recently?
9. Young
10. Wilko
11.
12. Flood
13. Noon
14.
15. Tait

Falcons only really took a good hammering from the Saints scrum all season, Payne would not get in the Falcons 23.

Payne would walk it into Falcons and many other first teams in the AP.
Mceechan, Woodward, Johnson etc all cant be wrong. Decent scrummager and good work rate.
He is much maligned but all players rate him

He def would not get in Falcons team, we need more than a tackle count of 0.1 per game, truly awful player. Can't think of a worse LH in the prem.

Re: National League bidding page
When it looked like Tim Payne would leave Wasps at the end of season because of wasps financial state he was certainly not short of offers.
Bath, gloucester and a few others were all interested.
A players player is Payne. seen him scrummage really well in internationals. his performance against france have been excellent and he has some good games for England

We also bid 2m for Guillermo Roan.
