National League bidding page
First topic message reminder :
This is where you bid for National League players.
You can also release players to National League sides for a small fee based on Experience here.
For Budgets please see SJE Budget page
Rules for Domestic Transfers from other UK clubs outside the Premiership
1. All domestic transfers need to state (i) full name of player (ii) club signing from and (iii) the initial bidding price.
2. The bid will be accepted/rejected after 24hours.
3. However, if a player is dual-registered the player whose club he is dual registered with will automatically get the opportunity to call that player up into their academy. They will have 48 hours after the initial bid to declare that this is what they are doing. The player must be named in their academy and if they are over the 20 player limit they will have to remove a player from the academy.
4. If this is not done within 48 hours of the original bid being accepted then they will not be entitled to have that player in their academy.
5. There will also be a premium rate for players that move clubs in this way, with a minimum of £1m being paid to the club that loses its academy prospect by means of compensation. This figure will be decided by the person responsible for domestic transfers.
6. If a young player is signed from a rugby league club they will NOT then form part of your own academy unless they are under 18. If you would like an over 18 year old to join your club you must bid from them in the same way you would do a Championship player.

Being a naughty boy Matt? Counting your squad and you have 55 players not marked for the academy. Full squad so your bid is null and void!
My 2m bid stands!

Very good spot on Thomas Prop!
Was previously in the league with Steve I think and was released so would be in the championship on this game

Re: National League bidding page
That ones been around for a while now mate. Pete brought it in to stop us from picking up released players for .25m etc and then releasing them for more. Suppose to see us pay a fair price for all players released. Just has the added bonus here for Prop that released players are still domestic!

Guys
With the Roan transfer it is a weird scenario as at the minute its fair game but he is in a way a foreign transfer. before any deal goes through i'm going to take time to consider whether it is a legitimate case for one of these bids or a foreign.

Re: National League bidding page
think thats a good idea Driver - there was quite a big discussion last year when I went for a foreign player like this and was told it would count as a foreigner - a lot of the Argentinian squad are amateurs, so then everyone could go for them on the same basis - just like Samoans, Tongans etc.

Mugford £1.5m
As both SJE and myself are involved in this bidding, then I need someone else other than myself to approve it. Any takers - general rule 24hours after a bid is made you can confirm.
Does anyone have any outstanding bids? I think I am up to date at present.

Re: National League bidding page
Driver agree with roan. It was me earlier who said it should be a foreign but you said it was ok as you had done similar. If you used same rational I could sign most Tongans, samoans and Fijians including their under 20s who had some players.
Kiwi under 20s 10 worth a shout as is younger whitelock at 8 and captain.fitzpatrick thinks he is next captain and will replace
Read. Some praise. Both cantabrians so good all round players. They said the same of back row whitelock and he is top but not wc. However other bros is a wc 2nd row and Ab's have him
And Williams fighting for place.
Williams in form but for me not a second row. All carrying being out wide and no nuts and bolts. He is a top lineout operator though
He has signed for wasps so is a pro IMO. People can sign from the puma team that won the comp in SA as most are amateurs and you take the chance.
Lee thomas 8 until you decide.

Re: National League bidding page
Have to say I find it amusing that you guys are bidding for Thomas, as he always got slated by everyone every time I played him.
Along the lines of "Good AP player, but not good enough standard for this game".
Will any of you actually play him if you get him???

Right guys
You can continue you to bid for Roan but if you do sign him you will lose your next foreign bid.

Re: National League bidding page
Thomas is a class act Pete but he was playing in Pro D2 with Lyon and that's always gonna be picked on.
With Lyon going into T14 with a strong squad he could be an important player for them and worth a punt. He won't be EQ for this game but if he could have been picked if he stayed at Sale a season longer by residency.

If Lee Thomas is not English then its the same rules as Roan - just need Driver to clarify this point.
SJE your bid for Mugford has been accepted.
I cancel my bids for existing players

don't think it is Chris. Lee Thomas has plaeyed for Sale, quins and Sarries in this game and was then released. This isn't the case with Roan

Re: National League bidding page
Thomas was a release in this game so playing for a championship club. Since you picked up Caucau this way Chris mate dont think its an issue for Prop. Driver has already said the same on it above
