National League bidding page
First topic message reminder :
This is where you bid for National League players.
You can also release players to National League sides for a small fee based on Experience here.
For Budgets please see SJE Budget page
Rules for Domestic Transfers from other UK clubs outside the Premiership
1. All domestic transfers need to state (i) full name of player (ii) club signing from and (iii) the initial bidding price.
2. The bid will be accepted/rejected after 24hours.
3. However, if a player is dual-registered the player whose club he is dual registered with will automatically get the opportunity to call that player up into their academy. They will have 48 hours after the initial bid to declare that this is what they are doing. The player must be named in their academy and if they are over the 20 player limit they will have to remove a player from the academy.
4. If this is not done within 48 hours of the original bid being accepted then they will not be entitled to have that player in their academy.
5. There will also be a premium rate for players that move clubs in this way, with a minimum of £1m being paid to the club that loses its academy prospect by means of compensation. This figure will be decided by the person responsible for domestic transfers.
6. If a young player is signed from a rugby league club they will NOT then form part of your own academy unless they are under 18. If you would like an over 18 year old to join your club you must bid from them in the same way you would do a Championship player.

Re: National League bidding page
Beaumont is part of the Newcastle Academy and is Dual registered with Fylde.
Is he not Pooly's player? I wasn't allowed to sign Mulchrone even though he had less connections with Sale than Beaumont does with Newcastle and had to pay SJE for him.

Re: National League bidding page
Josh Beaumont was at Durham University for 2 years and during this time wasn't dual registered with Flyde. He then played for Flyde last year when university commitments allowed, but only became dual registered when he signed for Newcastle a few weeks ago.
He is still finishing university and trains with the Falcons/Flyde once a week until he finishes.
We do need to do something about this dual registered melarchy though as it gets very confusing. Think we all need to update our academies and if a situation like this arises in the future and someone bids for a player who could be dual registered the player's team who he is dual registered with can automatically select him in their academy as long as they have the room. If not they have 48 hours after the initial bid to make some room in their academy. If they don't do this then the player is fair game.
From now on can all bids for English domestic players state (i) full name (ii) club signing from and (iii) obviously the price! This will make things a lot easier and that way everyone can check every deal that goes through

Re: National League bidding page
Steve
The way i saw it was that Beaumont was Flyde player when i made this bid as Newcastle Falcons had not signed him. I think i'm right in thinking that he Josh has been signed as a senior player there for making him available as a national league signing.
Luckily on the BBC 606 i snapped Seb Visser up from Tynedale when he wasn't registered with Edinburgh.

I just think its worth clearing this up now rather than waiting a season and then Beaumont or some other player might be a England hopeful.

Re: National League bidding page
Little confused with this too, no drama with trying to pick him up but I seem to remember something with a Gloucester player people where trying to sign him & it was jumped on.
Surely if a player linked to a club they should be protected from being signed?!?!?

Re: National League bidding page
I'm happy to remove him from my squad and allow Pooly to add him if he wishes.
It's the rule i acted with when Gloucester signed Tom Savage.
So i'm taking this stance on it.
If a national league player is signed by a Club in the real world then that Club in this game can sign them for 2m in the 48 hours after the deal in real life if the manager does not confirm his intentions to sign this player then its open to bidding after the 48 hours.
This rule applies to rugby league players who play for English RL clubs. Foreign players must be bid for on Foreign page.

Re: National League bidding page
Thats fair enough driver mate but in terms of the rugby league players I would say maybe some of them should be open game. Its not often you see a cross over but when one of the bigger players move over there are only really a few clubs with the resources to attract them ie Bath, Sarries etc. I know this isnt always the case but will be with the majority of cases.
If its a youngster signing into a premiership academy like Thornley at Sale or Ashton at Northampton then fair enough work with the 2m rule above but if the player is signing up for the first team like Kyle Eastmond has at Bath we should all be allowed in for him.
The onus should be on the club to prove this though although some leeway should be given. League converts coming over at 18/19 should be seen as academy signings and your above rule used. Any older and they should be open for bidding

Jack Forster (TH)
Justin Melck (BS)
Junior Polliuegga (SH)
Lee Robinson (WG)
Can I release these players
I think it would be 1 mil for Forster, 1 mil for Melck, 1.5 for Junior Polu and 1 mil for Robinson.
4. 5 mil okay?
Cheers for that SJE will confirm Cheeseman now.
