As a general rule, if you want a world class player (and by world class I mean a player that I consider to be one of the 3 best in the world in his position at the moment), you will be looking at between £20-25 million.

For a top international with over 30 caps, £17-22 million, and an international with less than 30 caps £15-20 million. There may be some exceptions to this in the case of certain players, but this will be the general rule.

There will be an upper limit of £10 million for uncapped academy aged players unless two or more managers want the player and enter into a bidding war in which case there is no upper limit.

Bids for uncapped players who are over academy age limits will be judged on their own individual merits.

I think the smaller squads and these cash injections are going to make the league super competitive next season. I can see the team that tops the table losing a lot more games than has been the case in previous years.

Gradually accepted relegation last season and thought that relegation was 99% inevitable and that my game plan was limited and came stuck a bit so i'v changed to a more attack minded team who will throw the ball about with plenty of players to get over the gain line. I'v also gone for the younger talent this window instead of signing older players (Jauzion excluded).

I think at times your tactics smacked of damage limitation last season, which maybe cost you a few points.

Yeah it's what let me down massively. Took the Leeds approach to survival rather than the Exeter route of going out there and playing rugby.

Like the look of him, but can't see him getting ahead of Roberts, Davies and Williams for quite some time. Like him as he can play 13 too.

I think he'll start in Aus Chris with Roberts out, very good 12..not seen him at 13.

Even if they start with Davies/Williams in Aus it only takes an injury to someone and him to come in an play out of his skin and all of a sudden the pecking order changes.
