The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Ealing Broadway
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The pub has made its way back to London where the victorious British & Irish Lions squad will start their 25 day open bus journey across England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland - being greeted by millions of happy, proud, delirious, tipsy and slightly sunburned rugby fans.
So grab a beer, cider, whiskey or wine.... or a warm beverage and sit back and enjoy their well-earned procession through the streets where it all began.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of the legendary
Warren Gatland, Sam Warburton, Alex Corbisiero, Jonathan Sexton, George North, Jamie Roberts and Richie Gray.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Ealing Broadway
Lucky, it sounds to me like Mickey dropped that one to cause more friction, however, even if Clarke did mutter something like that about Watto in front of MA, I'm sure Lehmann would have sorted it out with the two of them. It's nothing new - apparently Warne and Gilchrist never 'got on' but once they stepped over the rope they were always on the same page.
As for MA... I think he was treated poorly (the dismissal) but team comes first obviously. I can understand he must feel very hard done by and wants to get some more $ out of CA but the fact that he is throwing these rumours around makes it sound as though he feels as though he being made the scapegoat for Oz's woes... which maybe he was. It does leave a sour taste in everyone's mouths though. No doubt, our blokes will ignore and deny everything he says now and distance themselves from the accusations being levelled. They are a pretty thick-skinned lot I'd say.
England looking more settled now with Bell and Trott at the crease. Looks perfect for batting now after that first half session this morning.

Trott was a good wicket to get. He was playing well and England were upping the run rate. This is a crucial partnership now.

Morning All
I've been to Belfast too and it was lovely bar during the match I was at when it belted down...but that happened in Dublin when I was there too i.e nice and sunny all weekend bar the time at the RDS.
Breaker - to be fair, the UK is totally unprepared for this heatwave unlike places where this weather is common. Me and mum went out at half four this morning just because it's cooler. The air con on the train yesterday was heavenly though.

'The Welsh Rugby Union and the regions have made a fresh attempt to form a Professional Regional Game Board.
"Our first meeting was very constructive indeed," said WRU chief executive Roger Lewis after the first meeting of the newly-formed board.
"Our aim is to ensure we use our combined expertise and knowledge to develop the right systems and structures, adopt best practice and identify synergies of mutual benefit."
'Synergies of mutual benefit'? Frak off.

Enjoy the tax rebate Swanny. I've never had one of them myself. I must be due one...

Thanks for that, Jen. The Scarlets are paying us an early visit!
I don't know if I like these easy openers they keep giving us. Last season it was Zebre at home, now it's Ulster at home.

The Scots are better represented here (4) than in the original Lions party.
