The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Ealing Broadway
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The pub has made its way back to London where the victorious British & Irish Lions squad will start their 25 day open bus journey across England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland - being greeted by millions of happy, proud, delirious, tipsy and slightly sunburned rugby fans.
So grab a beer, cider, whiskey or wine.... or a warm beverage and sit back and enjoy their well-earned procession through the streets where it all began.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of the legendary
Warren Gatland, Sam Warburton, Alex Corbisiero, Jonathan Sexton, George North, Jamie Roberts and Richie Gray.

Classic line from the Prosecutor in Court this week:
"The witness was joined by his son who recognised the defendant as they were in school together. "That's Jamie 'Drwg'" he said..."

Surely you should've been drinking Mad Dog...
Afternoon Lurkers.
Hope everyone's well. I'm back home now after my little jaunt West. It's still warm here, but a welcome wind is blowing through the house so that's keeping things bearable.

Bore da pawb / good morning all. I was having a shave this morning when suddenly I thought about the autumn and how much I'm looking forward to it - especially going down to Dave Parade on a clear and slightly cold night for the rugby. It really put a smile on my face - and it won't be long now until we're there.

Bore da pawb / good morning all. I was woken up in the night by torrential rain, thunder and lightning. It was great!
I'm happy for the royal couple - they seem likeable enough; but seriously, if there's no news, accept there's no news and show something else for a bit!
I thought they were making cutbacks at the BBC, but this morning they'd sent Susanna Reid down from Manchester to anchor the Breakfast show from outside Buckingham Palace, where nothing was happening (and barely anything happened yesterday). There are dozens of BBC reporters in London already, use one of them! And then they went live to Nicholas Witchell outside the hospital, where nothing was happening either and he had nothing to tell us.
Harrumph!

I was just thinking: we've had a spell of beautiful weather, then the royal baby arrives and we have torrential rain and thunderstorms. A few hundred years ago they'd be saying it was a terrible omen.

Just had a look at the opening round of fixtures in the Heino: Leinster at the Liberty on the Saturday, the Blues at Sandy Park on the Sunday. Do I sense a Dew Drop weekend in the offing?

I counted four different BBC correspondents dotted around the country and that was just for the lunchtime news bulletin. That doesn't include the Welsh news, and any other BBC (radio, other regions, World Service...) people who were also broadcasting at the same time. It's pathetic and totally unnecessary. Who gives a schitt what the people of Anglesey think of the baby?!
Anyway, evening all. Another muggy one despite thunderstorms last night. It's annoying.

They are better at being better. Or something like that. Dunno really. It's just more A-Listers being hand-fed by Z-listers really. Or is it the other way round?
That's how it all works. I think.
I hope they are happy, have a great life together and their child follows their lead. Seem like nice people. All the rest is Love sacks.

Was it really your 37th anniversary yesterday????
Wow!
It reminded me about bring our first home from hospital. One of her 2 ID bands had already fallen off and then when we went to leave we discovered the only remaining ID had disappeared. I had dressed her before we left so we could go over to MrP's department and show her off and the ID had fallen off in her wee baby grow. MrP had to run out to the car and rifle through the washing to find the thing!
