I mean what did Lambert ever do for Norwich.
Agree with Chris that it is a case of cutting off one's nose. His value will drop with time at his age.
Although calling the club a sh!thole is a bit silly.
The relationship between Lambert/McNally broke down, it'd be the same the other way round. Also Lambert never spoke to the chairman for 2 years, that's how much they liked each other.
Should be noted that those Villa bids were "derisory", and in fact one of the EDP journos said the 3rd bid was actually the same as the 2nd (presumably came post Wes rant)
He'll go if we can get someone in. I hope we can get him to stay, he'll still be useful when a new manager (hopefully) comes in in the summer

1st one was reported to be 750k which missed our valuation quite mahoosively.
No idea how much we'd sell for, would imagine now it's about £1m to £1.5m mark, after he's handed in the request and said the things he has.
Such a shame it's gonna end on a sour note, given our club 6 and a bit great years of service.

Tomorrow? I'd bet on both teams to score, and a 1-1 draw. If you're pushing me for a goalscorer, I fancy Snoddy to put one in the onion bag tomorrow

In all fairness Wes ain't worth more than £1.5m max.
We put a £1m bid in that was rejected.

So club confirms no more ins or outs, Wesley firmly aboard this sh!thouse!
Poor window really, the flaw is obvious to everyone, we need a link between attack and midfield, a creative player. Need to get Hooper and RVW service.
Yet we've signed a defensive winger and a CB who was good in 2005.
We never do it easy

According to Robbie Savage, Norwich are now favorites to go down because they haven't been scoring and their last four matches are against Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal. It seems Norwich made the classic mistake of bringing in too many players at the start of the season and not being able to make them gel.

Olly - cracking win for the Canaries! Thought Spurs were poor but your boys deserve a lot of credit for that - chasing, harrying, etc, etc. Ruddly not heavily involved but looked back to his reliable self in the air and on the ground with one top save.
For an old timer like me, delighted to see a presentation before kick off for former manager Ken Brown just days after his 80th birthday and him looking so well. He gave very good service to your club.

Right, U turn, fk it.
Despite recent results no goal in 4 games, think we will edge this one 2-1.
The fact that our run is poor, we need a goal. Something has to change, sharpish.
Need to turn things round now. Starting with Norwich.

I don't get all these LGBT supporters groups. Surely if you want to support a football team, and happen to fit into the LGBT bracket, you'll realise that your sexual preferences/gender identity has absolutely nothing to do with it!
Why draw attention to it unnecessarily?

Freeky 10th isn't completely out of the equation, I think 49 pts might just be pushing it a little too far tho

because at the moment no footballer will come out.
the more normalised it becomes, the more its talked about , the quicker it will become completely acceptable..
good on them..
Off course its not about needing to come out. But its about not needing to hide it. And at the moment people still feel the need to hide there sexuality

But having a sexuality like mine will never be normal if certain people keep reinforcing the idea that there needs to be LGBT supporter groups, or gay pride marches, or people need to "come out".
Normality will only ensue once homosexuality is treated as the same as heterosexuality; that means no coming out, and no drawing unnecessary attention to it.

i think like racism you have to go over board before it becomes normalised.Duty281 wrote:mystiroakey wrote:Duty281 wrote:Olly wrote:Duty I know me and my mate made many inappropriate jokes whilst they were presented.

I think the UK has made huge strides in countering racism and i think one of the things that aided this was the positive discrimination.
I agree that its not about coming ouit- but it is about not needing to hide from something.
There most be handfulls of footballers out there that have hidden lifes.
why cant they go down the local posh restaurant with there boyfriend?
the only way they will be able to do that is when it is normalised.. I cant see it being normalised if we keep pushing it under the carpet

Positive discrimination, I feel, will never, ever work.
You cannot beat discrimination by discriminating. Education is the only answer. And time, clearly.
Drawing attention to different sexualities, like having LGBT supporters groups at clubs (seriously, what?), or those ridiculous campaigns that Stonewall do (e.g. "getting right behind gay footballers" - very droll ) will always make it seem different and thusly it will be perceived as something different.
That is not the aim.

Progression can be achieved through the means of education, and having no discrimination against LGBT people in everyday life. And a lesser prevalence of the 'R' word (can't mention it on here, I think!) would do wonders.
Simples. I think. Give it time. Oh and I do wish the NHS would let me donate blood; not letting me on account of my sexual preferences, surely, is actual homophobia.
Employing an unnecessarily high amount of gay people on TV (positive discrimination!), having adverts posted on the likes of buses and billboards, sending out counter-productive pink laces to professional football clubs, and political correctness is not the answer.
