Has Anyone Been To Reykjavik?
First topic message reminder :
Am thinking of going in February for 3 or 4 nights, anyone got any advice about hotels, places to visit etc? Have had a virtual drive-round on google maps and it looks like a giant suburb.

I wonder if they will soften their stance on flag encrusted underwear if they do qualify?

Busy this morning. Had to deliver some boxes of memory to a geeky IT firm near Liverpool Street.

There's the mediocre bumming (aka the "meh" bumming), the HM Prison forced bumming, the rushed-for-time half bumming and, my personal favourite, the bloody magnificent bumming.seanmichaels wrote:The Elton and David spoon is one.Mind the windows Tino. wrote:What other kinds are there.Galted wrote:Been busy as well, watching cctv footage from this morning when some of the security guards caught a memory courier wearing leather shorts and gave him a right good bumming.Mind the windows Tino. wrote:Busy this morning. This thread has a very good chance of getting more replies than the whole travel section combined.

The son of a friend of the family had the worse kind of bottle bumming possible, was drunk and sat down too hard on a fold-up chair which collapsed, unfortunately for him there were bottles and glasses placed "safely" underneath causing him to get quite badly mutilated.seanmichaels wrote:What about the 'I tripped over and landed on a bottle of becks which got stuck up my arris' bumming. Yes, red-faced with exasperation that you keep peddling this filth of an idea that Weisz would be/has ever been interested in you.
The very fact that she is married to James Bond tells me that she is unlikely to be attracted to a Hi-Tec wearing, Jack Wolfskin clad Gore-Tex fetishist who ambles around London looking like a slightly awkward Ray Mears.

b - a Hi-Tec wearing, Jack Wolfskin clad Gore-Tex fetishist who ambles around London - I think I'll use that description on my internet dating profile, maybe this time I'll get a reply
c - looking like a slightly awkward Ray Mears - I'm taller than him and I don't wear shorts either (unless I'm in the bath)

Re: Has Anyone Been To Reykjavik?
My morality litmus test is simple, if I can imagine Clint doing it it's ok.
I can't imagine Clint saying "You see, in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend: Those with loaded guns and those who dig. You dig." wearing a floral print frock thus, it's wrong.
I can't imagine Clint drinking any form of wee unless it was dinosaur wee or tiger shark wee thus, it's wrong.

You've just given me a brilliant idea for a wet dream, though it does also involve a large handgun, a bit of growling and a Tupperware coffin for Jamie.

Paul Daniels owns a house in the next village to me.
Actually, he doesn't. That would be Daniel 'James Bond' Craig and Rachel 'I hate Gore-Tex' Weisz.
Just thought I would mention it.

Her hatred of Gore-Tex almost came between us but my Jack Wolfskin 3 in 1 Texapore Jacket with removal fleece (which can be worn separately) and hood came to the rescue.

Care to explain it to me Tina, because all I see when I imagine Galted is a second rate Ray Mears with borderline sociopathic tendencies. Would never dare to assume what the delightful Mrs Bond goes for in a chap but struggle to imagine it is that.Mind the windows Tino. wrote:You know what, you're beginning to win me over. I actually think Galted believes he has slept with the lovely Mrs Weisz. If we keep him contained on here, he is less of a threat to general society.

The kind of guy that walks around with a slightly bemused look permanently etched on their face and shockingly 'limited' social skills when out in public.
Maybe I am way off the mark, but you're not doing much to convince me otherwise.

In my defence I compared you to Bear Grylls initially but the more I see of you on here I realise that is far too complimentary, Mears seems to fit the bill better.

I got hit on by a chick at the pub on Saturday. Very uncomfortable 5 minutes. Would have been at it like a rat up a drainpipe in normal circumstances but whatever I had in terms of chat has seemingly disappeared. Very sobering feling afterwards.Mind the windows Tino. wrote:I can't speak for Jeff, but for me it is the slightly awkward, portly chap in dull clothing comparison that does it for me.Galted wrote:What's with the continual Ray Mears comparisons?
