Realistic Premier League
First topic message reminder :
Please be aware that this week's fixture are as follows:
Stoke City v West Bromwich
Sunderland v Norwich
Aston Villa v Fulham
Newcastle Utd v Crystal Palace
West Ham Utd v Cardiff City
Please PM Hero the following (if you are playing myself then PM Nando) before the end of Friday:
1. A easy to read team sheet eg:
2. A list of 7 substitutes eg: Lindegaard, Fabio, Jones, Young, Hernandez, Welbeck, Cleverley.
3. A list of 3 injuries (not applicable in week 1) eg: Giggs, Smalling, Valencia
4. Clear tactics in a bullet point format, we advise a minimum of five lines and a maximum of ten eg:
GK - Be vocal, communicate with your defensive line at all times, instruct them at set pieces and look to catch the ball rather than punch it, look to release early onto the flanks for counter attacks.
FBs - Keep any wingers on the outside, stay on your feet and block crosses, come forward down the flank when available
CBs - Man mark the strikers, keep goal side and time tackles
CMs - Look to pressurise early, spread the ball across the pitch and dictate the pace of the game
WGs - Work with our FBs to double up down the flanks and whip balls into the box, mix it up by coming inside and dribbling into the box, look to go down easy.
SS - Play between the midfield and the main striker, link up play, hang just outside the box when there's period of pressure and look for loose balls
ST - Hang on the shoulder of the deepest CB and look to drag them out of position, anticipate the ball and look to burst into the box for crosses or one-twos.
These shall then be posted on the board and results will be posted on Monday.

Ba - No, Chelsea are believed to wish to sell him overseas and currently a deal to Valencia in January is looking likely.
Morgan -No, Leicester are reluctant to lose their captain whilst they are fighting for automatic promotion this season, the player too is looking to sign a new contract and feels he can help them get into the Premier League.

Re: Realistic Premier League
All that's required tactics wise are a few brief bullet points if that, it's little effort to put together and you still have a possible 8 transfers you can bring in from foreigns if need be, I'm sure everyone can make this week for it to start.

Re: Realistic Premier League
Hero - thanks for the post.
Is it okay if the tactics over run the maximum and also will we still receive some sort of feedback on the matches through the results system?

Re: Realistic Premier League
Whilst we don't wish to penalise those that wish to put a bit more effort in we at the same respect don't want to turn this into a battle of attrition with essay like tactics, I don't want to spend my weekend wading through reams of instructions of set pieces and training ground routines that people have wrote, therefore we do want people to respect the 10 bullet point cap and keep within it, if it's being flagarantly broken then this will be taken into account on results and possibly default losses given if it continues.
Feedback will be provided with the results.

We don't also want to put off those that time is of a premium and they don't want to feel they have no chance against the Alex Ferguson's of the league.

I'm really enjoying it mate, it's fantastic.
One question though out of interest, is the transfer deciding done on like a voting number system between the judges?

Re: Realistic Premier League
Yes it's basically those that are about that day decide and it goes with a majority decision. I usually google the player in question and see what transfer speculation has occured recently whilst weighing up the current position of the team he's in and if a move to the club in question he'd think of as a progression in his career to make my call.

Carroll's over-rated and Morrison is unproven and i got a good offer for him considering he's done next to nothing.

Re: Realistic Premier League
Just a quick question but due to Connor Wickham being sent on loan, does that mean I can't use him or sell him now even though he was part of my team when we started? I'd understand if he was loaned out before the league started but it seems unfair to not be able to do something with a player I had at one point even if his real life situation changed.

No you keep him as you had him at the start of the league. Any transfer or loan in RL involving one of your players doesn't mean you lose that player
