I think Wenger sees many of his players as direct replacements so can rotate bar flamini who for me needs to play over arteta if fit

What control? In the air I can more likely pull my legs out if need be. On the deck I'm tied to the restrictions of the ground holding my legs in position.
Im not saying its a good thing to do, but you cant really judge tackles on hypotheticals. Hypothetically, every tackle carries risk if its timed poorly. I think intent and the actual contact should be of more importance than positioning.

Why exactly do you put Flamini above Arteta, Mystir? I have them roughly even, tbh.

Of course he could control himself. He could pull his legs away in mid air. If he's sliding on the ground like Dolph says he's probably got less chance of getting out the wayhampo171 wrote:You jumping is completely different to jumping two footed in to a tackle though isn't it Olly? Could Brady have stopped himself in midair? Could he control the force at which he is going to make contact at? Doubtful, you jumping up and down is completely different.

Coleman was too honest there but good to see a player get to his feet instead of rolling around.

Should of got of the pitch, instead holding up everyone's time. Did he really need to act like a baby over playing the last 15 minutes of a game, its also not like Tottenham have a crap 2nd choice keeper!

You don't half talk some rubbish, Lloris was well within his rights to wait until he was ready to continue especially as a goalkeeper.

9 Mins of injury time.
There may as well of been 900 mins and there still wouldn't have been a goal

I think the phrase is: Both teams cancelled each other out. Tottenham were the better in the first half, and Everton were the better in the second. Both teams had a solid defence, a midfield with glimpses of quality, and an isolated frontman.
And both teams should have had a penalty.
Absorbing game nonetheless.

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread
Indeed, dull in some senses but absorbing in that it did feel like two good teams were just battling each other out, with the quality to open it up maybe.

Both sides im sure will be happy with a point.
Incredibly Tottenham have 1 more point than Citeh, but have scored 19 goal less.

Im sure it will Chris, for games like this, it just attracts people to go and cause trouble rather than have much care about the football game itself!

What are people opinions of half and half scarfs?
They have got them for today's game between Cardiff and Swansea. Personally i would never wear a scarf with another side's logo on it, and 100% not my rivals logo!
Half and half scarfs, like clappers, goal music, and drums need to be banned from football and in the bin where they belong!!!

We haven't released one, probably because our clubs know it would be a stupid idea!
Just wondered what people think of half and half scarfs, can't imagine many Cardiff and Swansea fans brought them today!

In regards to Cardiff and Swansea- i think many would have bought it for the historic first PL derby game.

Hmmmm that is true, but im just saying in general i can't stand them. I suppose for once in a life time games e.g. Manchester United vs Crawley Town, Burton Albion, Exeter City scarfs for those games are a nice little thing to have to say you've been to the game a bit like a match program.

I am sure Nick would spend his parents money on it!

Yeah next Sunday should be decent!
Tottenham vs Newcastle - 12:00
Sunderland vs Man City - 14:05
Man United vs Arsenal - 16:10
But the biggest game is on ITV, with Bishop Stortford taking on Northampton, followed by the FA Cup 2nd round draw
