Not particularly BAD form though is it! Not conceded in open play. West Ham not scoring and losing their best player to injury I could understand, but saying we have bad away form is a little much

very good defensively!
tbh I only looked at west hams goals scored and knew that they beat Tottenham 3-0 away.
But in truth 6 points out of 5 away is quite good for a mid level team

I still would be very surprised if we won saying all that! The most attacking thing we can do is play Carlton Cole, and as much as I love him it isnt a name that strikes fear. Although against Michael Turner...

Madrid 4-0 at half time against sociedad.
We managed 1 goal in 180+ minutes against them.
Rank bad.

Not sure they're trying anything. Every time Liverpool are on the ball they essentially just run backwards towards the goal, no challenges, no pressure. Two goals from corners which were awfully defended.

That amoreibeta or however you spell it sums up spanish defending & why ronaldo bangs hattricks week in week out in a poor poor league compared to EPL. Jol is in serious danger now, horrible display.

If that's the case John why is Coloccini one of the Newcastle's best if not the best defender you have since he played for a mid table spanish side?

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread
im just saying, amoerobieta is the classic case of spanish defending & ronaldo comes up against it week in week out n wacks them. la liga is woeful for defending, they come over here (the majority) and cant hack it. coloccini was an argentinian international and played for AC Milan & depor were a quality team back then in the champs lge. it still took coloccini a few years to adjust to the EPL, even had to learn in the championship with us but deep down he had more ability than most of what ronaldo faces. thts my point

what's up with benteke, just no service or not fit? You can see why he wanted to leave in the summer after that wonder season last year.
Chelsea struggling at 1-2 (mourinho's home record), surprised Everton are still drawing.

Norwich City FC @NorwichCityFC
#NCFC team v @whufc_official: Ruddy; Martin (c), Turner, R Bennett, Olsson; Snodgrass, Howson, Fer, Pilkington; Elmander, Hooper.
Yes like it. Bassong rightly dropped been utter rubbish. Chance for Elmander to prove himself

Our midfield is poor.
Couple of injuries today.
Hopefully when he does score, he will be on a role.
He just needs to score, was close last week.

And if people don't believe refs give in to the big clubs then just look at that penalty. Completely and utterly bottled it.

He's dropped Diame again...
Hard enough when we havent got Reid or Carroll down to injury, just cos Diame didnt try hard enough against Burnley we have to play this silly game that no one wins
Have fun at work Olly, I'll speak to you in a couple of days when the coma this game enforces releases me

If Mourinho say's the ref didn't make a mistake then he didn't...
Mat don't let it bother you.........He decided to celebrate the winner against my team by jumping in the crowd next to our dugout......Now he's patronising WBA like he did Aston Villa...
I think he's got a chip on his shoulder......Don't know why but he seems to have to rub things in a lot..
Let him keep talking.........

It's decisions such as these (Chelsea v WBA penalty for equal & mild body contact with one player diving) that has put me off football - altho. I reserve a general interest in the game.

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread
Yes we know that you don't let facts get in the way of your anti-Arsenal bias, 14-0-1 in the last 15 road games including wins at Dortmund and Munich. Arsenal will most likely win this game. Rooney and RVP can steal the match but if United win I see them stealing the game with a goal against the run of play. I can't see United holding the ball more or producing more chances than ARsenal. A great defensive performance and a moment or two of brilliance from one of their two great forwards. De Gea is a great keeper as well and a great game from him will also most likely be needed. United have a total of 1 point from their 3 biggest matches of the year against LFC, Chelsea, and City. To me it is United that have to prove themselves as contenders. The fact that they desperately need this victory may give them the impetus to fight harder, but we won't know how they respond till game time.John wrote:Ent if you think Giggs will start you are losing it. The guy is a liability now & plays in the non-essential games ever fortnight or so.
United aren't a walkover @ home in a game like this, your improving slowly. Wenger's got a bad record too at OT, you might poo poo records but Mourinho has never won at St James'. Chelsea rolled up to st james' and we were preparing for a thrashing.....we won 2-0 & we massively less quality than United.
Agree could go either way but I just don't buy this Arsenal side can now roll upto anywhere & take 3 points, just because of a good start upto november.

West Brom is a quality side I really like how they play, didn't see the match but is a shame if the PK was unfair. Chelsea played better under Benitez frankly. Mourhino is bringing the boredom back to Chelsea, when he coached them I couldn't watch one of their matches without falling asleep.
