On form he is one of the top 10 wingers in the world but to fit him in either have to drop Medard or start English elsewhere.

Re: Newcastle Falcons Fantasy Rugby
No worries mate, I guess we all have players that we just don't rate and for me McAlister is one of them. When I watch him just doesn't seem to do a great deal in games. I watched the Blues a few times this year and he never impressed me once, albeit he got messed around a bit due to them having no confidence in Brett.
One of his strong points in my view is normally his place kicking, but by the end of the season they had Lachie Munro as the place kicker and he's a 60% man which says a fair bit about where McAlisters game is right now.
Maybe coming back to Europe will help him, I'll watch him closely as I am well aware that I am probably in a minority of one in this game in not rating him.

Re: Newcastle Falcons Fantasy Rugby
Yeah, I think over time in this game you kind of know which managers are going to mark you up or down for certain players.
I know for example that Mat will look at Ioane and Nonu and say poor hands whereas others will see Narraway as a weakness for me. That's why I've been looking at so many combos over the summer and not really worrying about results so that I can work out what is my best chance of getting the most positive predictions form the most people when the season starts.
Predos always interest me, as sometimes we are all guilty of pointing out the negatives in teams. Next season I am going to try to make a conscious effort to point out the positives and why 1 team would win as opposed to the negatives and why the other would lose.

Yeah, like I said it's good to know in advance how people will see things.
Am crossing my fingers that 1 or 2 fringe international players in my squad don't make the plane to NZ.

I like Flip mate but Elsadt looks a different species all together. Elsadt/Bekker I think for the longterm for the Boks
Would add some one like Ngwenya to even it out? Salvi and Ngwenya for preferably 1 of Flip/Vermulean?

Fair enough on Flip/Vermulean. Suggest a deal for either and we can see where we could go from there
Just think Elsadt looks a top prospect and he has that link up at the Stormers currently with Bekker. Flip maybe getting in short term after the world cup with Bakkies heading up north but will be Elsadt/Bekker not before to long for me

I think Elsadt will be long term lock. could even see it post WC especially if PDV is gone.
The guy is some player. i was so tempted to go for him but have so many second rows

Possibly, can see Flip kicking on too as I was saying to Johnny. Be a good battle, two top 4's. Elstadt needs another season under his belt maybe.

Re: Newcastle Falcons Fantasy Rugby
I think potential wise Flip is alongside a whole host of decent SA locks. Amazing how many players they have.
Elstadt has something special about him though but yeah think another year will make him.
The locks in theri U20s side were pretty damn impressive as well

Re: Newcastle Falcons Fantasy Rugby
I wasn't overly impressed with Hargreaves, don't think he ran the line well at all and offered little in the loose. Thought Elstadt dropped towards the end and was poor in a few games, was a long season for him I guess. Imagine he'll kick on next S15 season.

I'm over the moon with SBW/Fourie, meant to say i need a WC centre.
Looks like I will have Bowden 10, then Bast/Tait at 12/13.
If JMH doesnt make WC then it will be him at 10 with Bowden/Bast 12/13.
Just want a bit of cover really!
Can't offer you much English back for Ojo really.

Re: Newcastle Falcons Fantasy Rugby
Hard to price roussouw pooly. as shown on saturday he is still a top player. That said he is off to Japan.
Make an offer but it would need to be good. I am still not sure a lot of these Japan moves will happen

Re: Newcastle Falcons Fantasy Rugby
I would not do any of those players for Pape mate. Dont think Pape is anywhere near any of them although a decent player.
Roussouw for vermaulen would be fair if he was not off to Japan i agree however there is lots of speculation that roussouw is going to sign for the brumbies so could still well be a super 15 player

basically roussouw impossible to price currently. bit like berrick barnes. i seriously thought he would quit and then he has come back although i think he will be monitored closely.

I will pass. think Roussouw better than Pape.
also think Saull/Gray are much much better than woods/duffin
