Hoddle's reported remarks that disability is a payback for sin in previous lives leads to renewed and vigorous demands for his resignation. But Eileen is still there backing him.

I didn't like the way that he denied saying it and went out of his way to try and discredit the journo that interviewed him and reported it. Sour stuff.

If he still believes all that I think he must have worked out there is no need to share those views any more.

They'll never top Vindaloo. Outstanding anthem. P!sses all over 3 Lions.
All that it lacks is a John Barnes Rap.

Vindaloo and the 96 three lions songs are up out in front of the others, including world in motion, which is as bad as 'this time we'll get it right' from 1982.

I was sad!!

One Direction to do a World Cup song?
How about: "If only you saw what I can see/You'll understand why Roy wants you so desperately/Right now I'm looking at you and I can't believe/You don't know oh oh.../You don't know you're En-ger-lish....That's what makes you En-ger-lish!
Then we can dedicate it to Januzai and Rafael, and any other foreign fellow who may be eligible to don the 3 Lions in the near-future!

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread Part 'x'
Back Home is a lovely tune.
The 8 managers that have been employed for more than this season in the Premier League at their club:
Arsenal - Arsene Wenger - 17 years 100+ days
Newcastle - Alan Pardew - 3 years 50+ days
West Ham - Sam Allardyce - 2 years 200+ days
Liverpool - Brendan Rodgers - 1 year 200+ days
Aston Villa - Paul Lambert - 1 year 200+ days
Norwich - Chris Hughton - 1 year 200+ days
Hull - Steve Bruce - 1 year 200+ days
Southampton - Mauricio Pochettino - 1 year and a bit
5 of those have been rumoured to be sacked/quit this season too (Pardew, Allardyce, Lambert, Hughton, Pochettino).
(I got this from somewhere else)

It would hurt palace , but I would be happy to let the Scottish clubs into thee PL.
It would strengthen the brand..bring a Few Irish clubs in as well. They should have let the MK dons locate to Dublin.

I especially enjoyed Tone Deaf All Stars' "Who Do You Think You Are Kidding Jurgen Klinsmann" during the Germany World Cup
But nothing beats:
I suppose ZDF could make a Zlatan question out of that. Name 3 England players in the video, singing "Back Home". Kudos to those who can come up with three that doesn't include Bobby Charlton, Bobby Moore or Gordon Banks. A raspberry to those who can't for not knowing England's best ever world cup squad better.

That old chestnut..!! It was mooted some years back when Celtic and Rangers thought they would rather like to cash in on the Premier League boom. The FA were against the move from the start, but certain commercial concerns thought it might be a goer and started to work on the SFA to push the idea with UEFA.
UEFA kicked it firmly into touch, saying that Scotland has a distinct league of its own and Scottish clubs must play in it. UEFA also said that drawing comparisons to Berwick (in England) playing in the Scottish League, or Welsh clubs playing in the English leagues are spurious and add no weight to the argument.
They then went on to darkly hint that if such a move ever did take place, it would mean that the England and Scotland national teams would have to merge to form a Great Britain team to play in international football. This quickly sent the SFA running for cover.
Sorry, Oakey, but the idea has been booted over the roof of the stand long since. It's a dead parrot, mate.

Fine. Celtic can join the Premiership and, as a trade, we'll give the Scottish league Sunderland.
That way we're all happy! Especially Sunderland, who will start to win things and get into the Champions League.

Geographically it might be a bit difficult.
How about we swapsies Brighton (England's gay equality club) and Millwall (England's fascist equality club) for two continental clubs?
