A high school team could've played a better second half. It's been worse than the redskins I reckon

It's been a little bit like watching Sam Bradford tonight to be honest!
If they want Griffin to become a pocket passer then they should have the good grace to at least give him an offensive line. Not much any QB can do when he has defensive linemen 1 yard away from him as soon as he finishes his drop.
J.J. Watt looks like a man on a mission this season in fairness.

Bills beat the Bears in Chicago.
Eagles come back from 17-0 at the half as Cox ices it with a fumble TD
Atlanta in position to send a message to the NFC South

Am consoling myself tonight with the thought that at least I'm not a Pats fan.... I'm at least used to losing and set my expectations accordingly low. Losing to Miami in a season opener though... that has to sting.

Brady now 6-7 in Miami
Note: I he was 6-6 on Gameday Morning. I am not an expert on Tom Brady.
Re: Ongoing NFL Discussion Thread V
We usually start off the season pretty poorly but that was just beyond woeful. Literally one play made by the whole team during the second half (a sack by Mayo). Just shocking.Number-25 wrote:Am consoling myself tonight with the thought that at least I'm not a Pats fan.... I'm at least used to losing and set my expectations accordingly low. Still it'll be fun to see all the other AFC East fans declare this is there year before falling going under .500 again

I think the NFC East is stronger than people think and I even tip the Jets, and Dolphins to join the Patriots in the playoffs.

Phins might get a wildcard, other than that its really not good. Geno Smith/Manuel aren't good enough to get playoffs
We've got Minnesota, Oakland and Kansas next three. If we're not 3-1 after that we've got issues and I'll be worried.
Nick was right Brady is now 6-7 in Miami in his career.

Of course not they will come out again backing Bradford, who I am sure will get injured again.

Cowboys Intercept a Kaepernick pass then fumble it and give it back to the 49ers.

A interception that gets fumbled and recovered by the original team is the best play in football bar none. Glorious Dallas

If he has done it again, have to question whether he'd be able to come back considering he's pretty near the end/banged up already

Re: Ongoing NFL Discussion Thread V
Week 1 and I'm already bored to tears with the NFL media's obsession with comparing today's Robert Griffin with the rookie Robert Griffin. How about just saying that J.J. Watt played like what he is - the best defensive player in the league. He was a man possessed last night.
Griffin can't win - if he tries to take off and outrun the pass rush then he gets slagged off for taking too many risks. If he stands in the pocket and throws the ball away or eats a sack when the D-Line is on top of him within a couple of seconds then he gets slagged off for being a shadow of his former self.
NFL.com is the worst culprit for this. Their reporting is bottom of the barrel stuff. Ten times worse than your average British tabloid.

Despite losing the Raiders defense looks much improved. Sio Moore remains a beast, 13 tackles, 1 sack and 2 forced fumbles.

He'll get there. There were some positives last night.
My favourite quote of the night.... Jay Gruden when asked about the blocked extra point and blocked punt replied, with a straight face,"... apart from those two plays, I thought special teams played well".
