Wales tour of SA
First topic message reminder :
Halfpenny is out and recent news (unknown to me) is stating that Warburton will now also miss out due to a dislocated shoulder. It doesn't look good for us going to SA without these two and with our recent away form being so bad. Personally I think it would be a good idea if we had a midweek game before the first test against a SA Provincial team, using the majority of our first team.
Who would you like to see on the plane?

No mystery about that Welshy, Welsh players lying all over and slowing the ball, Bok forwards too lazy to clear thrm, so slow ball is easy to defend

Re: Wales tour of SA
Interestingly, once again the better team is the one who has done anything it has to at the breakdown to get dominance.
When you look at south Africa's back row they are breakdown monsters to a man, compare that to a chopper, silky ball carrier and line out option = carnage!

Or the quality to be brutally honest, Wales are just not currently good enough to compete with the big 4.

Re: Wales tour of SA
Never going to win a game like that,Saffers entering rucks like super man, hands all in the ruck ,high tackles, pushing early at scrum time, lying all over the ball when Wales are on the try line!!! all withiut any punishment.
Roman Prat screwed us today, Saffers only give six penalties the whole match???!! and four of them in the last ten minutes.
I said watch him give a quick few penalties in the dying minutes just to appease the stats.
Watch Wales get muscled out over the next year,it looks like we are out of favour and not invited to the party!
But to be fair i could not see the RFU wanting a buoyant Welsh team entering their world cup.

Re: Wales tour of SA
why did Poite ping AWJ for a high tackle and miss the corker by SA on Morgan, why did he allow people to fly into rucks off their feet, and card Roberts but not Du plessis for killing the ball.

agree with much.....north?
Thought North was fairly poor tonight, weak defensively and didn't offer that much in attack, its a toss up between him and Cuthbert but I don't fully believe North is fit

He did ping them for a high tackle on Morgan; he played advantage then brought it back. To be fair to SA they have to bend quite low to tackle him.Scratch wrote:why did Poite ping AWJ for a high tackle and miss the corker by SA on Morgan, why did he allow people to fly into rucks off their feet, and card Roberts but not Du plessis for killing the ball.
Agree with all of this; Wales would have won comfortably with a different ref (preferably Nigel Owens from last weekend).DeludedOptimistorjustDave wrote:Never going to win a game like that,Saffers entering rucks like super man, hands all in the ruck ,high tackles, pushing early at scrum time, lying all over the ball when Wales are on the try line!!! all withiut any punishment.

bully-boy philips does fine against 3rd tier sides. doesnt cut the mustard against a SH side or top NH side anymore. if gatland had any other gameplans he would have picked someone else long ago. time for you welshies unfortunately to get used to the idea if not making it out of your group at RWC if Gatfluffer continues to favour Philips.

he's right though. if there's one side in the world that warrenball is going to epically fail against its SA. yet he keeps trying it. how many matches vs SA without a win is it now? or Aus or NZ?Scratch wrote:Scrumpy wrote:Warren ball didn't work again then!

you got stuffed out of sight today, as i predicted, and the only reason the scoreline wasnt 20 points worse is that Poite took pity on your team and didnt penalise every time a welsh tackler just lay there on the wrong side of the ball.
gatball against SA = shatball

breahtaking analysis and completely wrong
Warrenball depends on quick possession, spreading the defence to both sides of the pitch and direct running
We didn't even start playing it today as we lost the contact area and got slower service than we have ever had
Had we got even the slightest parity at the contact area we could have employed it and then perhaps it would have failed but since we were on the back foot all game your analysis shows a complete lack of grasping what Warrenball is whatoseevr
keep trying

hard ot be accurate when you leave your feet, pin your ears back and dive into a ruck, and Du plessis was very accurate, he had hands on the ball illegally on more than one occassion

wait, you tried to do it on a few other threads too but this is the only one you got any nibbles on. it's like feeding an overweight labrador. cruel but hard not to do.
yet you always do it so you can take as much credit as me. Yu pop up here on the welsh thread for a cheap sho tor two and to try get a rise...boring and predictable
You know what, i'll just block you. You provide nothing to this forum anyway.
that's the smart thing, took you a while but you got the clue in the end have some cake
