Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread Part 'x'
First topic message reminder :
Superb by Mourinho. When are Liverpool at their most dangerous? The first thirty minutes of games; that is, generally, when they tear teams apart.
Not allowed to do that today, though, even against a very weakened Chelsea side. Liverpool didn't get a clear chance all game, and one costly, costly error gave Chelsea what they needed.
That and frustration, as Liverpool rapidly ran out of ideas and invention.
Back in City's hands now - another title won on goal difference?

Steven Gerrard might be haunted by a simple failure to control the ball, followed by a slip, for the rest of his days.
Four points needed now for Citeh to win the league; surely there isn't another twist coming?

Will we ever have a greater chance than we had this season?

No. Need a major overhaul at the back. That like Arsenal will always deny you.

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread Part 'x'
Deserved the draw Palace, but I really think Liverpool assumed Palace would bend over for them. They had outclassed them all over and just decided to stroll. Palace have got a lot of heart and more bottle, they stayed in it and then pounced. Liverpool choked and Palace were the most professional team in the league from then onwards.
Spirit and heart went up against a complete lack of respect for defensive solidity and the gusto took the crown.

Another sign that Gerrard isn't organising a thing at the back. Bad leadership.
Really unsure about him.
That man carragher does my nut in during commentary and analysis but if he was still playing and came on late he could have dealt with it..

Unbelievable game!
What a job Pulis has done at Palace, nothing short of a miracle. And the more impressive thing for me is that he isn't playing the boring, hoofball rubbish he played at Stoke, it actually isn't too bad to watch. He's just got them more organised as a defence and as a team on the whole(albeit they conceded 3 tonight!)
Quite disappointed for Liverpool though. I'm not a huge fan of theirs, particularly Rodgers and Suarez, but for me they've played the most entertaining football this season and for that reason I'd have liked them to win the league. Rodgers does deserve credit for giving some young English players a chance at the highest level, will certainly be interesting to see how they go next year.
However Gerrard does just seem destined to not win the Premier League. Was in Liverpool's hands and they let it slip.

Psychology is so important in football, and you couldn't put more contrast up for evidence. If that game was in January, no pressure, then Liverpool win that 3-1 probably, or 4-1. They wouldnt have gone MENTAL when the pressure hit. But it did, and they couldnt handle it. Palace on the other hand are on a high, determined to ride the wave they're on and up for every battle.

Better player mate, and Zaha can play left right or central. Bolasie. only wings.
Bolasie and Zaha are.great mates, they practised alot together, but Bolasie. Isn't as tight a player.
But don't get me wrong I want them both

Palace that was superb, sums up there season really, It's been truly fantastic. Unbelievable full credit to them, there the perfect team for neutrals to love really. Bolasie, i said he was better than Zaha last season and i do still believe that in some aspects.
Very surprised people are happy Liverpool can't win the league. Think id rather seen an English manager lift the trophy than a foreign manager, whom has spent loads and loads of cash on foreign players. Liverpool have done everything the right way and whilst they havent' won the league (not yet anyway) its been a superb season for them and Champions League football is back at Anfield where it belongs.
Great night of football, why i love the sport.

Brendan "Guernsey" Rodgers is a mug.
City are the best team in the country. Chelsea second best for me. That's one of a few reasons I don't want Liverpool to win the league.
