Nakata! What a player he was.

Noone remember Shinji Kagawa or Maya Yoshida? And that guy who played for Celtic and scored those two free kicks against United in the Champions League

I was looking up Nakata and it says he was in Pele's FIFA 100 back in 2004.

If there was a FIFA 110 this year, who would be your 110? Might even be a voting game for Hero and the mods to set up.

Turns out Gigi Buffon is the only player named on that FIFA 100 who will be playing at the World Cup. Amazing.

Some bizarre names on there. Javier Saviola, aged 22, hadn't achieved anything at the time and still hasn't...

Batistuta is probably my favorite striker ever, I love him. I didn't even hate him when he nodded his head when Beckham got sent off in 98. Wow special player, I really wish you younguns Sodhat and Co got to see him play.

That's what I have on my predictions. 1-1 for each. Let's face it, it's unlikely either game is a 2-2 draw.

I agree there OTW. OK Its good that they have a good squad and a very good team, I'd agree with that, but, I do feel they are overrated. They have got Benteke who is at Villa and Fellaini a very poor season at United. But what helps you out a lot is tournament experience. I can't remember them at a finals after World Cup 2002 - present. This is why teams like Mexico and Greece usually go through their groups and do well, because they have plenty of tournament experience. Will never/rarely ever threat to win it (maybe the odd once) but they always seem to get through.

On the subject of Greece, they are behind 1-0 inside 6 minutes to Colombia. Guadardo already looking a threat for Colombia who have got a lot of big players missing.

Morning guys OK Tired after watching that last night from England.

Why Hodgson didn't notice that there was a problem on the left hand side I really don't know. Darmian was impressive and so to Candreva. I've never really rated Candreva but I can see why I should do now and Darmian looks a really good prospect for Italy and Parma and potentially further onwards. Good performance from him.

I stood on my dog accidentally when Sterling's shot hit the side netting.

Thing is that Italy were going to attack the weaker side, the side which Rooney was on. Welbeck helps a lot more defensively and they avoided him, and rightly so from their point of view. I was in the pub watching the game and everyone thought he scored, is was mental.

Henry rightly said last night that Rooney isn't good enough when he is played out of position. But he surely can't drop Sturridge. But could he play 4-4-2? Welbeck out wide and does help back a lot along with Sterling on another flank? Could have Gerrard and Henderson in midfield or rotate that around. It can not be tested now though, unless Hodgson has a plan to do that? I personally think it would work, but that is just me.

Morning.

Yes blame Rooney for everything, despite having a poor game he set up the goal. He is not a winger, you can't blame him for not playing well in a position that is not his own.

Steven Gerrard the best holding midfielder in the world, best deep lying playmaker ever, better than Pirlo some were saying. Where was he? Did he even make a pass? Worst player on the pitch for us, he should be drop but Roy had to make him captain, drop him and play Wilshere and Henderson. Gerrard is awful, he can't play that game he can't control a midfield, he plays at the tempo the game is already at can't play in this role.

Welbeck was taking loads of criticism before the game, when he came off we lost the game. England fans have a problem with Manchester United players.

Agree on Rooney, too much criticism is harsh, he did alright enough but he can't be camped out wide.

Nonsense on Gerrard though, he used the ball well, made some cracking cross-field passes and generally stayed disciplined.

Welbeck came off when we were 2-1 down. And as I recall the goal came from the left flank when he was the man ahead of Baines.
