Fusaro has played well so far

Gilchrist basically lifted the guy off the floor holding onto the ball and the ref didn't give it!

This is where we miss Laidlaw's influence with refs / arm waving

Not only that but it was a few metres away from the asst. ref

This is where Gilchrist's inexperience shows. We need the captain to be in the ref's ear. We are not getting any decisions.

Every time South Africa run the ball, they break the first tackle at least. Porous Scottish midfield. Must say the Boks are looking very good in attack.

Fusaro has done a lot of good things.

We need to get Harley standing in the 10/12 channel in defence!

Remind me again why Edinburgh have got rid of Geoff Cross??

Eh, I'm not sure about matching their physicality. They're getting go-forward nearly every phase. Struggling to prevent that.

On the plus side some good individual performances so far. Fusaro, Swinson.

They are just attacking the 12/13 channel. I will rephrase that, I think we are matching them in the forwards.

We need Matt Scott to be fit permanently, Taylor's solid but boring, Horne's the opposite , Scott can do literally everything the other two can

Well we have been blown out of the game in the last 20, every scrum we are penalised, and a few has been rather dodgy.

Dominated? You got the posession all the time, because we keep being penalised.

Did our advantage finish there before half time? Or did he just blow and consider the half over when we knocked on and not allow the penalty attempt?

Wasn't watching too closely, just got a link up and didn;t see the rest of the half - take it from here it has been awful then??

Both teams have been on the end of some dodgy decisions. Trust me SA aren't getting the Poopie end of the stick

In our dictionary dominating means a period in which we've conceded less than 20

Thankfully I am waiting for Mrs Cake to return so we can go out for dinner. So won't have to sit through the second half. Although she will probably be late so.....

It wasn't a oenalty, it was advantage for a knock, so he wasn't going to give the scrum

Ah, thanks, didn't realise it was just a scrum advantage.

Overall not too unhappy with the 1st half. Some good performances, scrum is going well. Our maul is working. SA have targeted Horne, and it's working.

If we can keep the 'boks to 3 scores in the 2nd half then I can live with that.

How has Ashe been looking??

We're undoing our good work with stupid penalties - Ford has given away a lot

We really do give far too many easy outs to teams - its a trademark of our game!
