Maybe Toure just never saw Mexico's game against Cameroon or Bosnia's game against Nigeria?

Are Arsenal only keen on Khedira so that Ozil then won't be the crappest German they have?

Disapointing to go out without trying much but not surprised by the end result. Classic German performance with a reliable keeper

If england went out in that sort of whimper we wouldn't hear the end of it.

Maybe it was the heat- but to only attack for about 10 mins in the last 80 being 1-0 down is pretty telling..

Not sure that camp is united at all- They may as well have taken Nasri

The World Cup is dribbling to a conclusion as the lack of quality becomes rather evident in the lead-up to the last knockings. Tonight should be a good game, though; perhaps the last truly exciting game. France were tame tonight, and Germany not particularly impressive.

I think Colombia will win tonight. Less pressure, greater confidence, players in better form, and more momentum is in all in their favour, plus they didn't have to go the distance in the last game. Brazil have been wobbling for most of the World Cup; tonight I expect them to crack.

Provided that does happen, I believe the winner of the whole tournament will come from the Germany-Colombia semifinal. The Europeans offer quiet efficiency, the South Americans joyous flair.

Haha. You clearly havent followed France properly. Twas the first time french players were singing the national anthem for a very long time. So yeah team spirit was good. The heat didnt help both teams and Germany wasnt exactly playing with load of pace as well. We just have to admit that we're still not good enough although germany didnt set the world alight!

Agree duty about the WC dribbling now to a conclusion. I guess the excitement, open play ended at the group stages, now its tight, cagey affairs & a lack of quality. Thought Germany were terrible & France just lacked cutting edge. Ozil has been AWOL this whole tournament, really poor. Hope Colombia can keep it going but I'm fearing they will be a letdown & go out with a wimper to a shocking Brazil side.

As for David Luiz being the FIFA player of the tournament so far  picard

No chance. They mainly acknowledge the progress made. The shambles this team was a year ago is still fresh in people and journos memories and big critics would be counter productive. This world cup was about restoring some pride and decency but fairplay to the team to believe they could do better.

2016 is big in everyone agenda here. Am not sure this team can win something yet as we have some limited players in some positions (forwards, left and right backs). Need to make some new finds like Griezman who was a breath of fresh air.

The more I watch this World Cup the more inept I think Roy Hodgson and Gary Neville (yes man?) are tactically. No team have been that brilliant in this World Cup and most of the quarter finalists struggled past well organised sides.

Colombia to win 2-0, just as long as they're not overcome by the occasion, and that they stick to what has got them this far in terms of a game plan.

And this could have been England's quarterfinal, in a sweeter world where Raheem's long-range effort whistled into the corner of the net and *Duty rambles incoherently*...

There's just some people who like to complain over anything.

If England did park the bus, and we had got this far, they'd still be complaining.

Yeah. I just want Brazil out now, getting annoyed at them being made to look good, when they are ####. Neymar gets praised for just breathing it seems by these commentators. Ref has completely bottled everything this first half, especially on Rodriguez. Disappointed in Colombia, seemed to of got lost in the occasion, no shape & just look a mess. Unfortunately, looks like a German/Brazil semi final.
