I can live with diving but when going down on purpose injures a player it's going too far really. You're trying to con the ref and injure someone.

Selfish play from Hulk. Should have slid it through as Germany would have done with the defence back-peddling.

It was Oscar's diving that created the contact so was still simulation and still worthy of a yellow card.

I agree. Football is a contact sport. A penalty could just as easily been given for no contact if a reckless challenge is made that prevents the player from going forward. Ie they have to dive to get out of the way/ are unbalanced.

The difference with Oscar was he had stopped running and was going down before he had got to Blind. Take Blind away and Oscar would have still have gone down.

Brazil will be back, they'll have a national inquiry, and pump ludicrous amounts into the junior game. The powers that be can't afford a football collapse. It's about all that's keeping them from a Proletariat uprising

The end the Brazilian team deserved, not the one the nation deserved.

Much easier for Van Gaal to impose his will on a young team.

Was never a fan of the 3/4 place game.

But after the disappointment of the other night, the joy and the spirt of the Dutch side, make it a bit more worth while.

The chance to leave the tournament on a winning note.
Well done Holland. OK

I have said it before and I will say it again. This is Fifa's fault. Clearly there was an agenda to get this Brazil side to the semi finals, they got there and they were definitely found out by far superior teams. Its let the fans of Brazil down who actually started to believe that this Brazil side was better than the average side that they are.

My prediction, a Thomas Muller early goal, followed by an Argentine comeback, and James Rodriguez receives the golden ball.

I may also walk away with the equivalent of £2.5k in this scenario.
