Headed to the dam this weekend. God I've missed it. Girlfriend's never been and I'm undecided on whether to take her or not.

It could well be although Shelvey does look more like him/it. Haven't heard from Mortiis since the pyrotechnics set his prosthetic nose on fire during a gig. Sorry to break it to you like that but yes, it was a stunt nosesuperflyweight wrote:seanmichaels wrote:DAVE667 wrote:

Anyway, off home and look forward to the outpourings of anguish/unmitigated glee over the Smith/Abraham result on Saturday

Going to Brittany for the weekend, just been to Tesco to buy some crisps for the ferry journey. You can imagine my consternation when I got to the tills and discovered that the vegetable flavour I was buying was actually made entirely out of non-potato vegetables! £3.14 as well so they went back on the shelf. This is what happens when you legalize gayness.

I have a beard not a goatee. Goatees are beards for spineless idiots and the French. I am neither of those things. Do love a bit of jazz though.

Good morning fellas.
Europe going well, rick? Saw something on it yesterday.
Really warm here today... low 30s. Same again tomorrow. Covered in a mixture of muck and cement dust. The bricklayer is quite a character - hardly understand what he's saying most of the time but his work is not bad at all. Fussy bastard... which is a good thing in that trade.

Had a bit of DIY going on yesterday and saturday evening. Log store almost complete but I ran out of pallet and some gippos at the garden centre had nicked all the worthwhile remaining ones.
Watched a bit of X factor at times. Jees, some people need their heads testing. And Cheryl Cole, she has ideas above her station, the fithy racist.

I need to re-roof mine soon, should have done it the other week when I was off, but chose to ignore it in the hope it would go away. It hasn't.

Why would you want your shed roof to go away, maybe the gippos round seans way can assist?

I didn't Rick, just wanted the rather unpleasant work to actually go away. I do, however, realise that was never going to happen. All I am doing by delaying is making it more likely I will have to do the work in inclement weather.

I know that feeling, I can effectively justify my lack of endeavour on pretty much any climate... Too hot, too cold, too wet, too dry etc.

That is the worst part of what I do. Creases, field restrictions etc. Lovely day at the ground yesterday. Shorts and T-Shirt weather. Just shaving the squares prior to getting the Graden GS04 on them on thursday.

I went to London Zoo yesterday. What a lovely day. Actually got hot rather than just warm.
Had a lovely wander through Regents Park afterwards in the early evening sunshine.

They sure do, Seany. There was even a spider talk going on at 15:00. Me and the twins sat there engrossed as we learned more about Mexican red kneed tarantulas and black widows. Great stuff.
You'd have loved Regents Park. All the beautiful people congregating in one place. Not many clothes on some of them either.

Went to a few vineyards yesterday then a cider farm for lunch. It was splendid.
Public holiday here today (celebrating the Queen's birthday) so I've been at the royal show. I'm not quite sure what is royal about pig racing, sheep shearing or wood chopping, but, it was all fairly entertaining.

Daughter had a full-on meltdown in Linlithgow High Street yesterday afternoon. Perfect storm of being hungry, tired, bored and having a summer cold resulted in a tantrum that lasted for about 45 minutes and her screaming and hitting me as people tried to ignore us.
What a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Not really. Have a couple of lesbians and a 90 year old widower as neighbours. Told her I'd take her to Church on remembrance sunday after a few beers on friday night. Regreting it slightly now.

I also need to re-roof mine, although only on one side, which is annoying as they only sell roofing felt in 8 metre lengths and I only need 2 metres.

Her? The lesbian? Which one? Or do you mean him? Or is the widower a woman? (That would be a widow.)

If you have 2 metres left you could send it over to me. Not that I imagine you would have made such a miscalculation, you tight northern git.
I also have an arthropod story from the weekend, I was out playing golf and strayed off the fairway to the right on the par 5 4th.
I was trudging through the rough and was engulfed by a swarm ofdaddy long legses daddy long legs's daddies long legs crane flies, the were literally thousand of them, they rose up like a cloud of gangly out of control long legged flies and were trying to get in my ears and my mouth and up my trousers and everything. I have good hand speed for a heavyweight so managed to knock a few of them spark out, but after playing my shot I had to run like a big girl because it wasn't very nice. It was a proper swarm, a bit like the swarm of bees in that Michael Caine film about a swarm of bees, can't remember what it was called though.
