I'm in on the Lions this week. That defense is ballin' and they are up against a poor Saints defense so should be putting up enough points even without Megatron.

It can't be long before it's Johnny Football time. I didn't think there was too much between Hoyer and Manziel in preseason and don't think the Browns would have been any worse off had Manziel started. He definitely has more upside than Hoyer.Olly wrote:Cousins benched

Detroit always chokes in these sort of games (he says with some trepidation)

Hoyer's been playing good efficient football, and pushing the ball down the field before this week. Theres nothing to suggest Manziel is remotely ready.

What a gutsy call by the Rams... figured Wilson was just going to get it and walk it down to take the win but... FAKE PUNT inside your own 10!

The Rams stun the Seahawks, who are finding out quickly the Champs have a bullseye on their back. The power players in the NFC are the Cards, Eagles and Cowboys coming up to halfway. Who saw that coming.
Cleveland isn't ready to be a winner. Saw Detroit do this a few years ago.
Will this be Kirk Cousins first win of the season as starter?

Everything I've seen from Manziel suggests he isn't ready. Hoyer really stepped up his play in the regular season and has earned himself a couple of bad games.

The Buccaneers are only 2.5 games behind the Panthers and one game behind the Saints and Falcons. I don't think two teams are coming out of this division this year.GSC wrote:Season on the line, Drew Brees has 1.48 to salvage a win against the best ranked D

Why did San Diego use a timeout icing the kicker when they need it for this potential drive

Glad I started Odell Beckham Jr in place of the injured Megatron in the west league.

Because everyone knows icing the kicker works 110% of the time. And if he'd missed they'd only have needed a field goal to win, which is obviously a lot easier to get in position for.Olly wrote:Why did San Diego use a timeout icing the kicker when they need it for this potential drive

Another loss there en route to our 0-16 season.
Only positives being a Raider at the minute. #1 draft pick on its way, at least all these so called 'experienced' players wont be crippling the salary cap for years like they would have been under Al Davis
Our third down defense is woeful, offense was bullied today.

aye, can't grumble about him. He's getting decent protection, yesterday aside were we crumbled a bit, but he could use a hand from a terrible running game, and there are a few catachable balls being dropped. Just hope these losses don't break his confidence

In a weird way the losses aren't the worst thing ever, gives you a higher draft pick to build a team around him and means you won't appoint Tony sparano
You do have some decent young players tbf, sio Moore is quality

If all fit and healthy:
Megatron
Dez, Demaryius, Julio, Green - Probably in that order, but really splitting hairs here
Gordon, Nelson, Brown - Gordon with another season like his last would move up to the next tier, but unlikely. I feel like I am underrating Jordy a bit here, and Brown lacks the red zone capability that I like in receivers

I guess the question is, if the Raiders are in position to draft a Winston or Mariota, do they do that or stick with Carr?

That depends on how Carr does rest of the season but so far he's shown he's got the potential to be a good starting nfl qb
