Think it was Setanta. That's got to be the worst sports network on the planet. Endless repeats of meaningless sporting events mixed in with some idiot (with a posh Irish voice... is there such a thing?) trying to talk up more meaningless matches in the ad breaks. They also cannot distinguish between RU and RL it seems. They just call both games "Rugby" and their list of programmes sometimes doesn't even name the teams playing... just things like "European Rugby" or "International Soccer".  Gulp. Utterly hopeless bunch.

I think Setanta made a brief foray into British satelite T.V. market for a while and failed miserably, mainly due to the utter pap that was on there.

Saw Frank Black and the Catholics play at a relatively small venue in Dundee a few years ago. Joey Santiago of the Pixies was playing guitar for them at the time and they played quite a few Pixies songs. It was all very pleasant

Anyone ever been abused by a rock star?

I had the remnants of a pitcher of iced water thrown in my face by the late Christine Amphlette.

It was a hot summer night in a crowded pub. Quite a while ago now.
I actually felt quite privileged (after the inital shock) to have it thrown over me. It certainly cooled me down somewhat.
She did give me a sort of cheeky yet belligerent smile but I can't remember whether she did the pouting lips routine as well.
It was a Ravenswood (school girl) uniform that night from memory. (chequered pale blue and white, standard black fishnet stockings. etc.)

I generally get in work around 6 in the morning and then leave for home about 4 to continue there so early dinner works for me until tea time.
