We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
First topic message reminder :
Probably much easier to get motivated to play for AC Milan than QPR. But I agree with Crimey (for once ), Taarabt should be fired for misconduct if this is true.

This is a massive game for Southampton with City on Sunday at St. Mary's. If they somehow can get 3 points they'll get a huge lift and will go into the game still riding high. A loss might signal the beginning of the end of their magnificent start.

Disappointing not to hold out for the win. But not surprising.
Still a point against a decent Saints team.
Needed that.
Our next 4 games are games we can get points from.
Burnley a
Palace a

Think Villa have done well in two games they maybe could have lost to instead tuck in and fight for it.

Sometimes Clark looks superb, other times he looks lost. Loads of ability obviously, but something's missing. Not tonight though.
Cleverley also had a good game . . . . . just needs to do it a bit further up the field. When will Delph be back?

You'd feel Southampton will be disappointed with the point. With City coming up at the weekend, it would have been ideal going into that game on the back of a win. Still, it's a very winnable game and one I think they will, more so if City go out of the CL this week. Big few games for Southampton. It'll either signal a repeat of last season or possibly the chance of doing something special this year.

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
Worrying that Southampton, being the nearest threat to Mourinho's men, couldn't even beat a depleted Villa side. If the Premier League engraver had already engraved C H E L S & E, I think he can safely begin inserting the A on this year's trophy. As Pvt. Hudson, so famously shouted on the film Aliens, it really is, "Game over, man! Game over!"

It would take Chelsea to have a real bad bad period of results and for someone like City/Utd/Arsenal/Southampton to go on a run of liverpools proportions last season, and even then, i'd put money on Chelsea.

Wilshere out for four months. Can you seriously ever build anything around this kid, for club or country.

It's gutting.
It happens to him every time. Just when he starts playing well and getting match fit and confident he gets injured.. Same for so many arsenal players as well.
There is something wrong with the milk in that part of London. Arsenal players should be fitted with bionic legs.

I'd expect no Sakho or Valencia tomorrow John, nor Song. Downing and Kouyate have a chance and Noble is 50/50.

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
Good news, if your missing some key players. Sissoko has been an absolute powerhouse & I was guessing Song might of done a job on him or tried to control him. If Colo & Dummett line up, they should handle Carroll. Pretty confident, can we make it six on the bounce? The run has to end sooner, rather than later though. Hopefully someone can reproduce the performance of Cabaye last season

The same, probably Westy. I doubt Keane made one iota of difference.

Southampton were 3/1 to go down now are less than 2/1 to top 4 !!
Both terrible value - but what a turn around.

Steven Gerrard has been dropped, not expecting a big improvement in performance as I don't think he was a big part of the problem at the moment anyway. At least Coutinho will make good runs. Just don't think Allen is really the answer in that midfield, Gerrard or Can would be much better.

good to get a pl goal in..
He is scoring everywhere else.
Arsernal with a completely different set up today- i suppose due to injuries. But it actually looks quite decent- back to basics.

The good thing about Gerrard though is that he's not the one to sulk and I'm thinking being dropped for a game might help him find a bit extra to improve his level of performance.
